Who Wants To Be A Gazillionaire?

An online gala can be a bit of a frustrating affair, as lots of people are having their fill of at-home parties and travelling to their local Popcorn space (think how Disney usually does it with the Disney Mouse logo, etc.). Maybe it's a microcosm of the world, maybe it's a bunch of years old, or maybe it's even a kids-only thing.

Have you ever had the privilege of being the roommate of an elderly relative, and even if you have no idea what to think about doing it on a Friday night, would you want to give it a try?

I've got a massive memory of actually being a monkey on the island at all times, or getting a trip to Japan on the evening of my birthday, or being good at The Sims, or being one of the many people on the international side of the world and spending half a day running around in a jungle.

How much do you expect you to lose?

It is really tough. The former few lives of the wealthy household and all the adult lives are expensive. It's often the least expensive to do, and this means we get to try and survive at a base of operations not once but twice.

Who do you see in your work day?

Let me try. I really enjoy it. I can't be over-hyped or not honest about it, but I'm a kid and my growing interest in games will always be in the palm of my hand. I love that the money is used and therefore I'll always be looking forward to getting a fair amount of playtime.

How did you get involved in the development of The Sims 4?

We were started in an office in Macau and mainly moved to San Francisco, to where we've been building the neighborhood and the surrounding countryside. But before we got there, we were still in the industry and had a couple of children - one of whom would be an alcoholic, while another would have been working in town for seven hours straight.

We knew we wanted to build a city, but it wasn't until we were married that we realised we were actually going to have a chance to live in a small rural area of the world where we found ourselves in a love/hate relationship. When we started it we spent a couple of years just trying to build the neighborhood, but it was a while before we realized we were the only ones in town that could make that happen.

What's been the biggest challenge with ensuring that the game works on consoles?

We've got a new version of The Sims 4, which is the most complete iteration of The Sims game we've ever made. It's a completely new game, but it's all the same game, but it runs much faster, it runs smoother, and it supports the more-complex AI of the older versions.

At the same time, we're making sure that the Sims 4 on consoles is incredibly polished, with the ability to make money while still maintaining a rich community of fans who will dig the game. It's the most social life simulation we've ever made, and it's a huge deal to us.

Have you got the final date for the game and the level of quality that's being talked about?

We're still looking at this as being a month from release. We have to take the time to make sure that the game works well on consoles, and it's getting better as time goes on.

What are the new features we can expect to see in the game?

We've already made some changes to some of the objects, such as the ladder that will now work on all versions of the game. This includes things like ropes that you can use to raise terrain, and a ladder that will put you in a position where you can climb up to high ledges. You can then use your computer or phone to direct your sims on these particular points.

It seems the community of simmers will be very excited to see more of the new content in The Sims 4. Do you think players will be blown away by what they're seeing now?

We've added new careers, so there are a lot of possibilities. The world of The Sims has been designed to be a living, breathing place that the player can immerse themselves in. We want players to spend the whole experience of The Sims as they create their sims. It's a big opportunity for us.

Why was this kind of focus on The Sims 4 development?

I'd say The Sims 4 is the best way to get to know the sims more and more. My Sims have a sense of personality and personality as a result of their interactions, so in this case I think we made the right decision with this update. The introduction of career paths also gives the player a new goal to work towards - which is why we decided to expand the career options.
