Waterslide Island, the Facebook-based service, has been hit with layoffs. The source for the layoffs was a small, unnamed APK, who told the Wall Street Journal that a majority of the workforce had been affected.

All employees would now be laid off until a settlement can be agreed.

“A number of people who have already worked on the project have left,” a rep said. “They are now based in Vancouver, so they will be staying in one location for a while.”

Sources added: “And no more, because of today’s mandatory redundancies.”

The email statement announcing the layoffs has read: “We have released full details on the reductions. All staff have left and will move to another location, or have been laid off.

“We are grateful to have helped make our service as seamless as possible. These results demonstrate the consistent commitment to our social networks. We believe our product will be a top priority.

“And we thank you all for your support and interest.”

A spokesperson for the media conglomerate said the current plan is to focus on its “ongoing cyber security measures.”

It will continue to do this over the coming months, saying: “More info will be shared soon, and we thank you for your continued patience.”

One of the more recent allegations the company’s bosses have made is the potential of attrition as a result of leaked documents, according to PC World. The documents show the mandatory confidentiality clause in the company, which could potentially have repercussions if an employee or employee leaves the company. The confidentiality clause also extends to user information, so it’s not immediately clear if the documents have been maliciously leaked, or if the company already has the ability to identify a threat.

When it comes to the full scope of the lawsuit, the executive in question is asking the court if he could ever recover his position at the publisher. The source claims that it was “given an adequate amount of time to recover from the incident”, and furthermore, that the damning documents show that he claims that his time at the publisher was hindered due to its “mixed-rate nature.”

The Final Fantasy publisher now wants to stop the negative impact of the lawsuit, “as the situation for the original Final Fantasy” does not feel that Square Enix is capable of accepting a return to its long-term commitment to support development and promoting Final Fantasy.

“If the other people who are still supporting the Final Fantasy franchise do not, we feel that our choices are ultimately the wrong one,” Square Enix said.

All of this is expected to change with the PS5, as reports indicate Sony is set to reveal more information about the console, including pricing, release date, launch lineup, and more. However, all of this information could also come as a disappointment to some, as fans may not be able to fully get a glimpse of what the new console hardware looks like, nor is it even being marketed.

This is certainly disappointing for the fans who remain passionate about the current state of the Final Fantasy franchise. Despite the fact that there has been no announcement of any new hardware, there are still many who have high hopes for the current console generation.

If Square Enix does reveal the PS5, it could make sense to release the new hardware alongside the current generation. As such, the company could also release the new game for the PS4 and if the next gen does, it could release the new game for the next-gen console in a less-than-ideal timeframe. However, considering the PlayStation 5 is available now, there could be a chance that it might release sooner rather than later, meaning that fans might not get their hands on it until sometime soon.

With the new hardware comes new capabilities like the SSD, which many fans expect to perform well in future titles. SSDs have become an essential part of consoles in the past.
