War Commander

War Commander is a new sci-fi RTS game from Namco and Auran that looks to take the traditional RTS experience and apply it to a squad-based strategy game. Set in a futuristic world that has turned into a warzone, War Commander is the first game of the Lineage series. Players will control one of several starfighters, each with their own special ability or weapons. A custom commander can specialize in a variety of weapons, armor, and gadgets. Players will have access to up to six battle units in the game. Players will then be able to use that firepower and whatever they can muster against the enemy, including tanks, turrets, and other computer-controlled units.

War Commander is being developed by Spec Ops and published by Strategy First, Inc. and should be in stores by the end of the year.
