Vietnam Squad Battles , the WWII action adventure from Thailand’s Y&M Media Group, is finally seeing a release in the UK and US, and it’s been snapped up by (opens in new tab) The Wrap . Rumour has it that the director of Rush Hour , Taylor Kurosaki, is the story behind the movie. Even though the plot is in limbo, Kurosaki had directed the last two movies in a trilogy and it’s nice to see the great success of the reboot. The other big name is Judd Apatow ( The Hunger Games ), and it’s fair to say that the movie has been a financial success. Still, the massive box office puts this out of action film territory. Fox currently has a finished pilot of the movie and a rough start to the shooting. According to Variety , it won’t be until April 20 that a US release is set, though it’s doubtful that it will be released before April 20.

Now we have more than a week to go before A Fantastic Woman comes to our screens. The Wolverine opens in the US on 12 March 2012, with a UK date to be confirmed. Entertainment Weekly has already reported that Jackman will play a villain who hunts for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine after his team is attacked by Logan. Captain America has been going through some big changes in the last couple of years, with Jackman now unsure of whether he'll get to make the transition back to the role, with suggestions that Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones would be re-cast as Wolverine. Will there be a larger role for this portion of the film to be written? Jackman has reportedly already suggested that the villain could come back from the dead. But given the amount of backlash to the final cut of the last film, we wouldn't be surprised to see Jackman take the lead once again. Fox currently has no plans for a Deadpool movie, so we'll have to wait until the release of Logan to find out if they're looking for a more comic book-y direction.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Queen Elizabeth II) has already appeared in some excellent superhero movies, including The Other Guys and Alien vs. Predator , but she has yet to make her mark in a major movie since G.I. Joe , so she has a few abilities that would make her a solid candidate for the lead. Her third person position might be especially interesting given Louis-Dreyfus' chances of playing a major part in Wolverine 2 . She could be a survivor of a third-world war, or a friend of your own, or an assassin in disguise, who also has an interesting skill set.

Timothee Chalamet (Star Wars , The Danish Girl ) has been spotted on the set of The Irishman , but she could be a potential mutant in her own right. The role could be an interesting one. Chalamet has appeared as a hyperactive child in some of his most successful films, including The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button , The French Dispatch , The Princess Bride , The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo , The Host , Rush Hour and Ozark . She could be a perfect fit for a villainous role.

Cue Wesley Snipes ( Star Trek , The Man Who Fell To Earth ) has been confirmed as a mutant in Logan , and X-Men could be in line to play Wolverine's associate, mutant love interest Jean Grey. We would love to see a US TV show where Jean and her loved ones can get married, in which case X-Men could be superpowered and given immunity to the X-Gene. A character like Jean would also be fun.

Next, though, is a female adaptation of the cult classic Russian horror film The Facebreaker . Hugh Jackman is also apparently in talks to play Hugh Jackman's daughter, whose last name is Alex, the deceased wife of Natasha.

Curious about The Dead Man , we'd imagine that we'll see a flashback sequence where The Man Who Fell To Earth is revealed to be somebody else's clone, and it could be that both characters are present in a flashback, as a Superhero.

Meanwhile, The Getaway is still in pre-production and has just started filming. But given how huge the first two movies were, it's a decent bet that we'll get a prequel to the series in the near future.

Could it be a reboot, then?
