Vertigo announced its first program for the Game Boy Color today. The program, designed to promote the Game Boy Color with a $50 rebate, includes cartridge-based games for the original Game Boy Color. The program will be available nationwide beginning January 20.

The first title in the program will be introduced at the San Jose Mercury gaming show in September. Anyone who buys the game will receive a code to download the pack at launch. The pack will include 10 games: Mario's Adventure, a 3D version of Mario's Adventure, and two versions of Paper Mario.

The program is based on a new company called Shigeru Miyamoto, who created the original game.
