Valkyrie The Magical Odyssey has been nominated for best RPG of 2005, thanks to its innovative playstyle. The game was a smash hit upon release, which is why it makes sense that the developers would want to make a sequel. This is why Square Enix has had the best job on the project, as they would want to make a follow-up.

They didn't want to follow in the footsteps of their game, which had little success, but they wanted to turn the game around.

With an innovative new combat system, a new storyline and some new spells, it will be a welcome addition to the fan base.
