"The mech units are just a step up from the mech units seen in our previous games, and are certainly much more powerful," said Adam Sessler, lead designer of Heroes. "With all these improvements we have added to the mech units, combat, and movement. We are pleased that our team is even bringing these enhancements to Heroes of Might and Magic V to let you truly experience the magic of the game."
Heroes of Might and Magic V will include much more than 100 battles spread out across the entire U.S. battlefields.
One of the most important changes to Heroes V is the inclusion of the National Congress and Allied Forces. The countries were all the rage in the World War II era, so this means that Heroes V will feature some of the most powerful nations on the battlefield: China, Japan, and Russia.
Heroes of Might and Magic V will feature a completely new campaign structure that lets you undertake either an ordinary mission or an epic mission. Each mission will be broken up into parts, and you can then play through a handful of battles to discover new information, such as details on units, mission objectives, and their rewards. For instance, in the U.S. chapter, you can revisit a previously completed mission and get a full view of the battle from the perspective of your party, and it will offer both full-screen and progressive view of the action from the perspective of your characters.
Additionally, Heroes V will include a "trading system" where the world you're fighting in will change depending on how you perform in battle. So if you're looking for a quick trip to France, for example, you'll get to play through that scenario and get to know new units in the meantime. However, Heroes V will have a few other types of fighting. The adventure mode will let you enter a single-player scenario from a different point in time that will let you get to know the heroes you'll encounter in a single way. There will also be an adventure mode that lets you pick one of the two hero types from the initial list and pit them against each other in a race to the finish.
