Tom and Jerry Fist of Furry spin-off, starring Jerry as the franchise's latest bounty hunter, is in development at Waystar Pictures. The story follows Jerry, a delinquent who takes a job for a local mafia gang called The Furry' Pub. It's there that the members of the mob are drafted into a turf war, each trying to prove themselves as the best by winning races, running burgers, and beating other crewmembers of the gang to a pulp.

"In your hand, we create a high quality storyline with a set of characters that are worthy of a big screen adaptation," said Greg Russo, president of Waystar and director of the film. "Whether it's their portrayal of family, loyalty, or not, we're hoping to deliver something that will be memorable and unexpected."

The story follows Jerry, a hooded-but-proportioned young gunslinger who, after the infamous black-clad assassin Gruber's assassination attempt, finds himself at the mercy of Jerry. There, he's joined by her loyal henchman Fuego, a nutty child who forms a deadly squad, only to be forced to work with Jerry and Robin to stop a "mysterious monkey attack" from taking out the family.

This does not mean the show will take place on our TV screens. Jake's story is also loosely tied in with the movies, as it goes, following the events of the first two films. It will also be told from the perspective of Sully, who (though we're assuming an older Kevin Costner) is working with him.

We were told the crew would reveal more about the plot of the show, which will revolve around the events of the first two films. This leads us to ask Wiseau, who will voice Jake in the new series, what exactly's going on in the world of the series?

We were told that there will be more than three hours of pure goodness from this new series, with lots of humor, as well as some swagger. We also spoke to those involved and came up with the idea of casting the Young Adult characters as heroes, as the young versions of familiar characters in this series tend to be. In the comics, The Young Adult is the leading character who has the power of flight, and the movie will obviously center on this. We have to say, it was really important to us, so we're really excited to bring this beloved story to life in this new show.

How did you cast the Young Adult characters?

It was really important to us, too, because the characters in this series are a very different entity from the ones in the movies. That's really what we did with these three movies, we cast them with the Young Adult actors, and that's where our characters are, but also in this movie, we really wanted to bring them to life in a way that people who haven't seen them would enjoy. So that's what we did.

What can you tell us about the directors and stars for The Lego Movie?

It's going to be produced by [The Lego Movie] and Warner Bros., and it's going to be the first movie based on the Lego Movie. So it's been a pretty long road.

And we've been doing it for a long time. And we're excited about it. So, so, going forward, this is going to be a fun thing to do.

Can you talk a little bit about the story?

It's a family-friendly story about kids growing up and learning who they are and what their motivations are. The kids have a lot of that in The Lego Movie. That's why they're in this world, so they have to unite to be able to grow and feel like family.

So, you know, it's a family story and it's going to be a really fun part of the movie. And obviously we've got a big, big cast of the main characters that we've chosen for it. It's going to be the family setting that we'll be doing a lot of in the film. And one of the big parts of it is this giant, magical home on the block. And it's going to be in that brick world that we've been making the films for a long time, that we're creating this giant that's like "This is my home for a reason, this is my place to be, this is mine." And there's this little Lego vault that we've been building in the room for a long time that we're building a portal that's going to let us store the stuff in that Lego set. So you'll get to see a whole new adventure with this giant base, and then it'll be your first trip to this space. And the whole world is this big little world that we're building and that's the thing that we're going to put you there.
