Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 for the PlayStation 2 has been out in the US for nearly two months now, but EA Sports is already attempting to get the sports game's release into the hands of reviewers, which suggests that the PS2 title is already in the development stage. The game, based on the pro golfing tournament and the latest Vijay Singh in-game footage, will feature five courses, eight course types, six golfers, and four playable golfers.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 will have five modes of play: exhibition, tournament, career, "Tour," which takes you through the top 16 golf courses in golf, and ranked series, where you can put your skills on any tee or putt. The game will feature 10 of the ten courses from previous installments in the game.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 is currently scheduled for release on the PlayStation 2 in the fall.
