The Settlers Rise Of An Empire The Eastern Realm
The Settlers Rise Of An Empire The Eastern Realm will be the first to offer gameplay directly to players, opening up a whole new way to explore Settlers in the process.
The game is set in the United Kingdom, where three famous factions are battling to be the last bastion of humanity. They’ll each be rewarded with a four-star reputation boost, so if you want to take them on, you’ll have to climb up the ranks of the Fame.
To get more detailed, the press release also tells us that the expansion will feature new nationalities (the United Kingdom) and two new legendary units.
“We’re extremely excited to be working with a new publisher to bring The Settlers Rise of An Empire to the PC,” said Simon Read, producer at The Settlers developer Big Ant Studios. “The DLC’s new tech trees, new strategic combat mechanics, and brand new factions bring a fresh layer of depth to the Settlers formula.”
It’s important to note that the expansion will not be released alongside the console versions, so we can’t talk about the PC version being a straight port, either.
But what exactly will it offer on PC? Let’s talk about some of the things we can expect to see.
“The PC version will feature new content with new gameplay features, new technologies, new types of units, new campaigns, new playable factions and the new world,” Read told me. “Everything you’d expect from a Settlers game, it will be available on PC.
“We have a really extensive amount of content that we have in the works and we’re really excited to see what we do in the coming months. I can’t say too much right now but expect it to be huge, we’ll be making sure that it’s awesome to play.”
“There will be multiple maps for the PC, which will be based on the same thing,” Read continued. “You will be able to play as many different factions in the game.”
He also mentioned that there will be “a different UI, something different and more user-friendly than what’s available in the current build.”
There is also going to be single player content that is based on the Settlers Online name, so players can be treated to new stories and interesting battles.
“We’ve had a lot of players back on the Battlestar Galactica MMO and we’re going to see some new players enter the Battlestar Galactica world. They’ll be exposed to an interesting new storyline and not only to the ships and landscapes, but also to our fans that’ll be introduced to Battlestar Galactica Online content,” he explained.
“We’re going to see some new players enter the Battlestar Galactica universe and they’ll be in the new Galactica universe.”
“There’s a lot of player content in Battlestar Galactica Galactica Galactica Online so we’re going to be very pleased with how much you’re doing,” he added.
“So, at the end of the day, we really hope that if people are coming back and they’re really into the game, they’ll be coming back and enjoying it because they love the Star Trek universe, and we think the lore is really interesting and I think we’re going to see some new players coming back and giving the community a taste of the universe in a way that the game doesn’t really do.”
Battlestar Galactica Online players have been migrating to EVE Online for a long time, and no doubt experienced the benefits of the transition.
“I think this is a very great initiative for us,” said Haier. “We’re always thinking about how we can build an audience and help them shape the world of EVE Online.”
“It’s been a great experience, and we’ve gotten a lot of feedback, and we think we’re going to take it even further now and bring it to a new level. But I think there’s a big part of the EVE community that really wants to see our universe and make it a better place.”
Of course, there are some who have taken the idea of EVE Online on and are thus happy to see the game make the move.
“It’s just a natural progression of what EVE Online has done, and really to see a big way to reach more players,” said Haier.
