The Incredibles Rise Of The Underminer
The Incredibles Rise Of The Underminer has found its way to HBO Max on January 18. Though this is still a family-friendly animated series, the series takes a dark turn when it comes to the villains. James McAvoy's Concrete Genie has been captured by the Rook family, as his father ends up imprisoned on a remote island. Instead of the typical brick-busting, blocky-looking animated film approach, The Incredibles Rise Of The Underminer opts for a more sinister twist. The Big Bang Theory-directed movie reveals a story that has been written by Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling and opens with Peter and Tim having a teary reunion in The Forest of the Lost Children.
The last few minutes of The Incredibles Rise Of The Underminer were a brief, to-the-point way of connecting the series and the main game to what the rest of the animated series did. It looks like Disney and Pixar weren't looking to give this new series a chance. The trailer does suggest that The Incredibles and The Incredibles won't cross paths, but the teaser certainly indicates a partnership.
The movie features a handful of the titular characters facing off against a variety of different Disney villains, who all bring unique strengths and weaknesses. It also features the return of iconic Guardians of the Galaxy characters such as Rocket Raccoon and Groot, who were both first introduced in the movies. There's also a ton of cameos from other Marvel characters and movie universes.
The movie also marks the beginning of a new era for the franchise, this time in a live-action universe. The Incredibles and The Incredibles Beyond the Waves have been called out for using the traditional voice actors for their characters, which is a big step forward for the series. The Incredibles and The Incredibles Beyond the Waves are no slouch either, as it's worth noting that the animated movie will be making a return for a second time in The Incredibles 2.
With the release of the long-awaited trailer, fans finally got to see The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In the trailer, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is seen at Winter Soldier Club, a very regular family house, and once again finds himself in charge of the Winter Soldier. While Captain America (Sebastian Stan) is in charge, Walker (Daniel Brühl) is an agent who works for the Strategic Homeland Security Agency. The next episode will bring some changes for Sam and Bucky, which is a change that we'd be very surprised if they didn't change.
A brief shot of Sam and Bucky, seemingly posing for a friendly talk, show off the new characters. We don't get to see any of them either. What we see is the faces of four different people, including the person who they'd typically be known as.
Sharon Carter also returns, along with a new character, Paul Walter Hauser. Jamie Walker has been revealed as Captain America's successor, and has the unfortunate "cannot wait to see it" that you've been waiting for.
One of the standout new characters in this episode, is a young man named Eli Bradley. He's an African-American with multiple black hair, and is introduced as someone who knows the black and white way of the world.
Hawkeye star Hauser is played by Hauser, while Will Sharpe is playing the role of The Collector. Hauser is most notable for his roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm, El Camino, and Will Smith's Kick-Ass.
Finally, Hawkeye episode 3 introduced Echo, who is played by Matt Fraction. He's a founding member of the New Avengers and was a former member of the New Avengers.
Hawkeye episode 4 included the discovery of Spider-Man's identity in the comics, as well as an appearance by Matt Fraction.
The second episode of Hawkeye, though, is set in the early years of the series.
The show follows Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton as he tries to outrun Ronin, aka the Red Hood. In an attempt to prevent Ronin from killing his former comrades, Hawkeye reluctantly joins Kate, a trained vigilante known as the Runaway.
Episode 4 includes a new look at the Bishop as he seeks to overthrow Ronin. In the comics, Clint meets a teenager named Vincent Casper, who teaches him how to use his bow skills.
Hawkeye episode 5, episode 5, also sees Jeremy Renner's Bishop recruited by a group of former Red Hood victims to help Clint achieve his goals.
After narrowly escaping a car accident in episode 4, Hawkeye returns to the action after being stopped by the Hood gang after the latter's supposed death. With the group having just been hired by the criminal group, Clint and the rest of the gang escape.
