The Chronicles of Riddick and the sequels were nothing like the original films, though their co-star Vin Diesel might have thought otherwise. In a video released on Vimeo.com, he reveals the actor who plays Riddick as he retells a story that you know by heart.

I used to say "elevated," it was the first time I saw a Vin Diesel movie before a movie.

The actress has previously appeared in critically acclaimed film films as Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (you'll also know him for being made up of Quentin Tarantino and Philip K. Dick), and has starred in movies including Dogtown, American Gangster, and IT.

The Chronicles of Riddick is now in theaters, and is set to come to the big screen at some point later this year. It's set to be a companion to the original film, and may tie in with a future project based on it. Diesel even teased some potential plot details.

Vin Diesel is playing a character named Flathead, the "heartsman" who is now an Riddick. The character's name is Flathead, the digital personification of Riddick, and the movie's plot will be based on his Riddick-centric movie series.

The Matrix is also in theaters now. It's directed by Lana Wachowski, who also directed the 2017 sci-fi horror film Glass, starring Anne Hathaway and Ray Liotta. She's also written the upcoming sci-fi film Midsommar, which is out now.

Filming is underway for the second entry in the Prey movie franchise. Set in space, it's due out in March 2020.

Following the trailer, we've learned that the movie will star Ellen Barkin, and it stars Jessica Chastain, who played a role in Alien Resurrection. It's a strange move to introduce a character from another franchise, and it's great to see that one in action. Check out the trailer below.
