Sub Command Seawolf Akula
Sub Command Seawolf Akula is only a couple of months away from release and Tecmo Koei has sent over some of the very best from Japan, including some amazingly detailed information and even a couple of screenshots. In short, the racing game features a driving system where the driver is able to choose how to hit the various gauges in order to achieve a great high speed.
The game features around 25 tracks, all based in the famous Japanese art house. There will also be a number of pit stops on each course, so if you're lucky, the corners will be extremely well-laid off with some well-designed dirt and mud. Although the cars have been tweaked slightly to be a bit more friendly to rookies, for the most part you can expect this game to be well balanced and accessible for all races.
The cars available in the game are the six cars found in the Japanese version. You'll have to keep an eye out for the six cars as well. For example, the Mitsubishi is back, with three to four variants of its eight. The Mitsubishi is an upgraded model of the Mitsubishi with a higher top speed. The Tori is a fast car that has also been modified to have a lower top speed. You can expect to see the Tori in the game as well. The Mitsubishi is also faster and more tricked out than the Nagoya. However, the three variants of the Tori are still more sluggish. The Tori can still run at high speeds, but the handling of the cars is much more difficult. The Forza series has a penchant for tight turns, and Forza 2's Inchwormi is no exception. You'll have to be careful not to overshoot your opponents if you choose to outrun them.
Once you've selected your car, you'll be dropped into the various competitions you'll be able to play through in Forza 2. While the Forza series is centered on the open-world racing genre, Forza 2 will have a few unique game types in the form of driving. As in the previous game, the Forza series has included a Pause button that will briefly pause the game while you're driving and a Power meter that you'll be able to use whenever you need a moment to fix things up. The Pause button can also be used to pause the game when you're driving, which will either let you backtrack, pause the game and give you more time to tune up or skip ahead if you're fast enough, or you can simply accept a change.
The control in the game is tighter than its predecessors and, unlike Forza 2, will be much more precise than before. In fact, the Xbox 360 version of Forza 2 will support the motion controls seen in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game. The game will include eight modes in total and will have about two dozen cars, four of which will be available right off the bat. While you won't have a full array of modes to choose from in Forza 2, there will be plenty to do in the game. For instance, you'll be able to participate in races as many times as you like, and you'll be able to customise your character's appearance with the ability to change the color of the tinted part of your car.
If you've played Forza 2, you'll know that there will be a "racing challenge" mode in Forza 2. The objective of this mode is to race as many times as you can and earn as much money as possible. Like any good racing game, you'll need to earn enough cash to purchase better cars, upgrades, and performance parts. In the demo we were shown, the demo version of the game we played was set in the desert, where we played as an eccentric young punk called Willie Nelson. The rough-and-tumble road that Willie finds himself in is covered with open stretches of dirt and street signs that, when overtaken, create a rough race through the dirt and dirt paths. In order to win, you'll need to prove yourself in each race. You'll have a number of options to help you along the way, such as drafting, drafting, or just getting to a stop at a fast-moving strip. The number of times you can race makes the game's controls really different.
In addition to a driving challenge mode, there's a three-player battle mode that plays out like a two-player championship. You'll be able to play the races in any race you've unlocked. The race types, the circuit and time attack modes, and the main campaign will be unlocked. The circuit mode will put you in a typical run through a track set across a rain-soaked trail. Time attack, a modified race, and practice mode all fit into the single-player game.
The gameplay in Race Driver 2 will be familiar to anyone who has ever driven an arcade game, but this time out the action will be replaced by a more-traditional, two-player split-screen race.
