Stranger Things actor, Will Byers will be appearing in Stranger Things 2, according to a report on Latino Review.
This follows last week’s revelation that Donald Sutherland would be reprising his role as Eleven from Stranger Things, an action-comedy/action/adventure series based on the hit Netflix series. Now, that rumor is true, as Stranger Things 2 is confirmed for a December 3, 2016 release.
The sequel will feature a fresh ensemble cast, with John C. Reilly (The Americans, Time Traveler), Argyle Ferrell (Cowboy Bebop) and Finn Wolfhard (Pacific Rim), as well as Justin Simien (Sin City, Soldier, Star Trek: First Contact). Colin Farrell (In The Legend of Korra, Oblivion, Hellboy) is also set to return as Colonel Eddie Munson.
The cast also includes Emilia Clarke (Juno, Robin Hood) and Eddie Duffer (The Leftovers, Scooby Doo, Stranger Things). Also, Andrew Lincoln (Green Lantern) will appear in the sequel.
Robert Englund, who starred in the 2013 movie The Mummy (and later the most recent season of Stranger Things), is back to play Night Nurse in this standalone film, a character played by Anya Taylor-Joy (Friday Night Lights) and Sofia Boutella (The Wolf of Wall Street).
Here's a look at the official plot synopsis for the movie: "A young girl receives an unexpected letter from a town stranger who claims to know that she’s a spirit in the afterlife. Possessed by a monster who freaks her, she becomes a hunted down by a mysterious gang in New York. Meanwhile, a local celebrity (Tony Todd) is approached by a stranger who offers to help her, only to discover that she has the power to reincarnate her. Together, they must try to return to her past and solve the mystery of the past while navigating a supernatural reality. A blend of horror and drama ensues. We hope the movie can live up to the special effects of the original."
Based on the popular author's 2016 novel of the same name, Night Nurse tells the story of Claire Summerisle (Natalie Portman) who suffers from mental health conditions after being discharged from the FBI. Once again dealing with the trauma of losing her parents in a car accident, Summerisle must confront the grief of losing her parents to the dread of her becoming a ghost herself.
There are currently two prequel TV series based on the series starring Elizabeth Olsen, and it appears that they are going to focus on this particular tale. What else is there to tell us about the series? Keep reading to find out.
Both series can be found on Netflix.
