Star Wars - Battlefront II

Star Wars - Battlefront II - the sequel to the highly anticipated (and still-in-development) Battlefront is a much more ambitious title, thanks to many factors. It features all the familiar trappings of the first game, like multiplayer modes, a storyline that spans multiple eras, a two-player campaign, and a roster of six heroes (and their signature blaster). However, Battlefront II also features a host of new features, such as new weapons and vehicles, destructible environments, and other elements that we haven't seen before.

All of this is powered by the newly announced Star Wars Battlefront II - the game is being designed by its creator, DICE. The new title also promises to improve upon its predecessor in the same way that it tried to keep things familiar. You'll find three new modes, as well as four new vehicles - the AT-ST, the Tie Fighter, and the X-Wing. Each vehicle will have its own unique abilities, and the same can be said for the terrain. We were able to see a planet in action, and a ground battle took place, and we noticed that the graphics were slightly better than the ones used in the first game. The transition from the sequel to Battlefront II will be seamless, as will the loading screens for each mode.

The developers have also decided to make this a single-player game, rather than two-player. The game's story will be told from the perspective of different characters, and these will all play out through story-based missions. Once you have been recruited into a squad of soldiers, the action will get more complex, and you'll have to choose your own tactics to do the dirty work. We saw the female character fighting in what appeared to be a desert, for example, and we also got a look at one of the battle arenas, which is set on a rocky cliff face. In another, we saw a large hangar environment, and the game will also let you choose to play as any of the nine playable characters from the original Battlefront and its sequel.

We then watched as a stormtrooper rolls past us, apparently killing all of his forces, as it tore a huge swath through the battlefield. The squad moved into the hangar, and we got a look at one of the game's new character models--a regular guy, armed with a blaster. The soldier character models have been reworked from the ground up, and we saw only the trooper himself as a group, so this should be more interesting than just another squad member. The ship's interior was seen as a series of winding hallways that reminded us of the AT-AT walkers seen in the movie. The halls were also notable for being made more dramatic by the fact that we were in control of both the trooper and the walker. The walker looked very much like the walker from Star Wars, and it was a fast-moving, powerful unit that moved quickly. The walker also featured a few unique additions. For instance, the walker is able to target enemies and fling themselves up into the air, which lets you put together stunning bombing runs on the ground. You'll be able to have a squad of walkers do so in the game, so you'll have a lot of options when it comes to dealing with enemy forces. The walker's armor will be a nice addition, but it also seems like it can be hard to counterattack with a heavy weapons attack, especially with your own equipped shield. You'll also be able to pilot a walker as well, which seems to be an interesting inclusion. We watched as the walker squad ran about and threw chunks of the aliens right at us, and it seemed to behave in a way that was more reminiscent of an X-Wing. If you're familiar with a similar sort of control scheme, you should have no trouble with this. However, once the ground troops got inside the walker's armor, they seemed to overpower it, and the walker was eliminated pretty quickly.

However, you can also use a new "tank commander" mode in Gears of War. This mode will feature three separate game modes: Zone, Zone Control, and Zone Control. In Zone Control, you'll be able to fire on enemy-controlled vehicles that are also under your control, such as the huge "pod" tank and the deadly "cargo truck." Zone Control is more of a hybrid of the Zone and Claw mode, in that it's a 50-round fight to the death that focuses on eliminating an opposing vehicle while staying in a fixed position for a certain period of time, while Zone Control is an all-out battle where you'll have to constantly switch between lanes to take out the enemy. While it may sound like you have to constantly change lanes, the attack that you take on is entirely random--meaning you can get away with only a few shots to the head, and then lose the match.
