Spider-Man has his hands full right now as the hero of Sony's upcoming web-slinging epic, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, lands in stores.

The game, which is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, puts you in the shoes of Spidey as he fights crime in New York City's underworld. Insomniac has recently released two retail games in the series (the GBA and PlayStation versions) and plans to release a Spider-Man DS game (coming this winter).

We've also received screenshots and movies for a couple of the game's supporting characters. The two most intriguing are Venom, an experienced web-slinging hero with a genetically modified body, and Nightcrawler, an occultist whose powers rely on psychic abilities.
