Silver Wings

Silver Wings: The Great War was released on the Game Boy Color last month, and it has already earned itself a perfect score. A sequel to the excellent 1990's shoot-'em-up, Silver Wings: The Great War is now on the Nintendo DS. You'll find the first game and two previously unreleased installments in the Gold Wings series in this new collection.

The game will now be slightly easier to handle than the first game. The game has no new mode to play--you'll only need to press the A button to shoot. The DS version's graphics have been improved, and the touch-screen support has been improved.

In terms of the gameplay, the development team has decided to give the game a lick of paint, including a new "gravity mode" that lets you control the sea with your stylus, and new characters and environments. The new stages are not yet playable, but the team plans to release them for download in early 2007.
