Shaun White Snowboarding was one of the most pleasant surprises of the last E3. Though its content and execution wasn't exactly awe-inspiring, its uphill struggle posed a challenge for the indie developer. If you aren't familiar with the studio, they're known for their experimental approaches to the casual game play genre. But that's not to say they weren't good enough.

Though it doesn't have the obsessive racing and trick tuning found in SSX, the game is a mix of one-man development and one-man business. The resulting combination is a showcase for the best of both worlds: It's a straightforward snowboarding game with a unique look and feel.
