Sanguo Dragon

Sanguo Dragon may not be the most popular PlayStation 2 release to date, but it still proved to be quite the success. To call it an exclusive would be an understatement, and is more likely to draw people in than its developer, Slant Six. Its new title, Papo Dragon, doesn't seem to have too much to offer those people, and the game's development team is currently working on another title, this time with an interesting twist. Instead of a "game over," Papo Dragon will appear as a background character that will guide you through the game's events. As you play through the game, you'll discover that a new evil has arrived, and the actions of the evil men you'll find out about in your quest will change his path. In order to break out of the plot, you'll need to interact with an unusual cast of characters that will make their way into the game's storyline. The characters that you'll play as in Papo Dragon are as follows:

Sanguo Dragon

You'll take control of Pete, who is a rather flamboyant and wimpy character that wears a hoodie. Pete has a penchant for stumbling across magic, which he has to use in order to restore life to the world. Pete is rather lighthearted and quick, but he also has a special skillset that requires him to solve puzzles. Your first goal will be to enter a magical gate in the world that's said to be within your proximity to the magical gate that you'll need to enter. This gate will open on your adventure and offer you plenty of items and gold. The game will feature a variety of areas that you'll need to visit to acquire new abilities and items, which will come in handy when you're not attempting to solve a puzzle.

While all the action in the game will play out as you'd expect, there will be a lot of interaction between the two characters. While you won't be able to customize your party any further than you would in the standard role-playing game, you will have the option to make a few of your party members more effective by offering them new attacks and special abilities.

After playing through the game, we were told that the game will offer up around 40 hours of gameplay in total. While we haven't yet been able to speak to any of the characters involved in the game's development, we can say that the art style has definitely been crafted for the game. The characters have some of the most impressive animations in any role-playing game. There are some rough edges that appear to have been polished up for the game's release, but everything seems to be working smoothly.

Though the game is still early in its development, the level of polish in the game is looking well. The characters themselves were already pretty well rounded, with a wide range of facial expressions and gestures for various weapons and armor. The environments, in particular, are looking good. You'll see destructible walls, in addition to boxes that you can shatter. The frame rate was still somewhat rough at times, and it didn't seem to get anywhere near the level of detail found in the upcoming Diablo II expansion pack, Heart of the Swarm. The game's frame rate was also quite a bit better than Blizzard expected. The game's frame rate seemed to dip noticeably during the sequences that played out on the outdoor maps, and in a lot of areas, you'll find yourself in frame rate trouble.

The voice acting in the game is being handled by the powerful Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Resident Evil 4), who has lent his voice talents to nearly every main character in the game. Though he's voice-acting isn't as good as the game's voice work, the voice acting is a perfect fit for the game's bizarre story and unsettling atmosphere. The game's plot is much darker than its in-game counterpart, although it certainly doesn't hit the same tone as the cinematic offerings found in Diablo II. You'll find the return of the original game's Necromancer class, as well as the usual class-specific abilities, such as invisibility and dark powers. The game's sound effects are also being handled by the original Diablo II composer, Trichord, who returned with the original score for Diablo II, as well as the original score.

The control in Diablo II is similar to that of Diablo II, but the game is taking a different approach. You'll be able to zoom in and out on the field by moving the right analog stick up or down. The game uses the left trigger for the attack and right trigger for the action button and X for healing. A variety of inventory slots will be available, along with a radial menu that lets you select all sorts of items you want to carry with you. You'll also be able to equip two sets of armor. The left trigger will cycle through your three armor sets at the click of a button. You'll be able to shift these to a set when you find one that suits you.
