Ripleys Believe It or Not!

Ripleys Believe It or Not! isn't the first product of its special agreement with Disney and Sony. Aside from Disney's successful Hocus Pocus sequel, a number of other notable film licenses have been included as well, including Tom Hanks' Cash Rollercoaster and Jackie Chan's Bounty Hunter.

Now the company has revealed its long-anticipated take on the fairytale genre - during a press conference on Tuesday, it announced that it would be working with a new company to publish the film.

The press release states that the film will be released under the Universal Pictures banner and will be produced by a company based in London. However, it says that the movie will be "based on a screenplay by a bunch of writers who are both developing it and have done the work already. The movie is about a family of cat-venturers who are about to set off on a new adventure, in order to clear their names. Along the way, they encounter other fairytale characters who have similar goals and must help them out.

Universal is targeting a theatrical release with a release scheduled for later this year. But you'll be able to watch the film through Freeform, and not just a theatrical release, or two-parter on DVD or Blu-ray. A set has already been planned for theatrical release but has yet to be confirmed for the US.

Universal's chief marketing officer Charlie Collier said, "I'd love to see [Universal Pictures] take it on the road and we'll see what happens in a year or two."

Universal's next project is Trolls: World Tour. Like its predecessors, this Universal movie features a number of different creatures, creatures, and powers. The film takes place in a world where the Trolls are apparently living in a small, family-friendly egg factory. We got our first look at the movie during a San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Universal Pictures is just one company that is a long-standing fan of movie franchises. They've also taken inspiration from their most popular franchises. One such movie is the animated version of The Simpsons.
