Rhiannon Curse of the Four Branches, a new adventure game that will be published by Codemasters, has been in the works since 2004. The game takes place on a cursed island, which is being overrun by monsters. The people of the island worship evil spirits, and the land suffers from its own loss. The island is slowly dying out because of the plague that has plagued the inhabitants. Fortunately, those that were put into hibernation have been granted immortality and are now being treated as sacrificial servants, and now it is up to the king to get them back.

The game features a number of unique puzzles. The puzzles vary from simple to complex. Some are far more cryptic than others, requiring you to use your wits and quick thinking to complete each one. Some puzzles have multiple solutions, some require you to change the environments to solve the game's challenges. The main gameplay mechanic is the ability to possess more than 30 other monsters and possess some of them. As you progress through the game, more monsters will become available, each with different abilities. It's good to be able to possess more than 40 different creatures, and each has its own unique characteristics and abilities.

At its heart, Evil Dead is a 3D action game that takes the gameplay of the movies, and integrates it with a light RPG element. The game uses the classic card system that fans of the movies have come to expect, but includes plenty of little touches. Characters will develop relationships with one another throughout the game, and can be raised or lowered to gain skills. The game also has a comprehensive single-player story mode that has a variety of different endings, depending on the choices you make throughout the game. Evil Dead is very story-driven, and the whole package is a very flexible 3D adventure game that will appeal to the strategic gamers as well as to the hardcore. The game uses a system called "morality," which is when you move up a level, and each character in the game possesses unique attributes. You can have a hard time balancing your progress between the two characters; if you're choosing to attack with a long sword, you'll have more damage resistance, while if you're choosing to attack with a long axe, you'll have less damage resistance. However, this can still make your character a bit more powerful. At any given point, it'll be possible to retry a fight once the battle starts. So if you manage to survive, you can be extremely efficient in dispatching the masses of zombies and zombies that are in your way.

The action in the game is spread over six environments. Each level consists of about 30 levels that are spread across three levels. The stages in the game will run about 15 minutes each. Your goal in each level will be to destroy a certain number of zombies that are left on the floor. The zombies are divided into three groups, and their goals are to destroy all the zombies that appear on the floor. The level design is cleverly structured to force you to use different strategies to conquer the waves of zombies, which is a nice change of pace from the normal levels.

Though there is plenty of zombie action to be had, the game is very linear, as evidenced by the four levels in the game. There is a map-making feature to help you find a specific area and create your own maps. This will let you take on zombies in all the settings and then show them off on the map to find their weaknesses. On the PlayStation 2, you'll have access to both the standard single-player and multiplayer game modes.

The graphics in Zombie Chaos: Riot Response have improved. While the game was still rough around the edges, it is looking very sharp and features a great deal of detail. The graphics also have an extremely high level of detail that helps the game's environments stand out. The first level we played featured the base of operations, where a squad of survivors was battling an army of zombies. The player is headed through a room with some computer-controlled enemies and is subsequently picked up by a bomb squad. The key difference is that the zombies aren't as concerned with their own man as they are with the rest of the group. The characters also have a high level of detail that adds to their personalities. For example, the soldiers will be a little more articulate and offer subtle approaches to situations.

From what we've seen so far, Zombie Chaos: Riot Response looks very promising. The gameplay is still early, but we expect the frame rate to improve as it moves toward release.

One aspect of the game that hasn't changed, though, is its storyline. Riot Response will see you playing as Joe Miller, a general that has been given a second chance by the government to find and destroy a nuclear weapon, presumably after learning of the mysterious origin of the atomic weapon. While some of the story will focus on this unique conspiracy, like the fact that your son died in the game, there will be plenty of information on Joe Miller's backstory, which we will cover in a bit.
