Rail Simulator
Rail Simulator "Rail Simulator" is a cross-platform engine simulator where you work at various train stations on and off the road. According to the developers, the aim of the game is to raise awareness of new technologies and trains on trains, ensuring you have the right balance between realism and helping to attract new types of commuters.
To achieve this goal, you'll have to train with more than 50 different locomotives, from basic locomotives, to as many free-wheeling and manual locomotives as you possibly can. You can also select the train model from one of a series of realistic off-road locations, including Indianapolis, Florida, New Hampshire, Indianapolis, Dallas, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, and Idaho. The game will feature a single-player career mode in which you will work to bring more passengers to the track and maintain a happy pace. A multiplayer mode lets you compete against friends over a LAN or Internet connection.
Rail Simulator is scheduled for release this fall on both the Xbox and the PlayStation 2. It is being developed by Irrational Games, the studio that brought us System Shock 2 and Freedom Force. Irrational Games will also be developing the game for the PC, so you can expect to see one of the most anticipated shooters this fall.
Trespasser is one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year, and it's a surprise to find out that it's coming to both the PC and the Xbox. The game is being developed by Black Isle Studios, the studio responsible for the recent Fallout games, but the Xbox version of the game is being developed by Wow Entertainment. The game is being developed in-house at the Black Isle Studios. The PC version is being designed from the ground up with the high-end Nvidia GeForce4 graphics cards in mind. As you might expect from a first-person shooter, it will include an all-new storyline, a dynamic AI system, and weapons, more than 100 non-player characters.
Of course, with all the latest console game graphics cards under the hood, there's a catch. As we already know, Trespasser is being developed by Wow Entertainment, the same company that created The Sims and The Sims 2. What you don't know is that the PC version of the game will be the same game on both platforms.
You'll be able to play Trespasser from both the Xbox and the PC. The Xbox version will have a similar look to its console counterpart. The graphics engine will run on a slightly modified version of the id Tech 5 engine used in The Sims. Trespasser will have fully licensed high-resolution textures. The PC version will feature a higher resolution and polygon count. The PlayStation 2 version will have more polygons. On the PC, the game will run at a native 640x480 resolution and have higher-resolution textures. The PlayStation 2 version will have a lower resolution and polygon count. The GameCube version will run at a native 1024x768 resolution and have higher-resolution textures. The GameCube version will have two additional special effects that you'll see onscreen when you're in the character's magic lab.
Trespasser will have a host of new gameplay modes.
Trespasser's default game mode will let you play Trespasser in either first- or third-person mode. First-person mode will let you view a first-person perspective as you'd expect, but you'll actually be able to interact with the camera in first-person mode by using an inventory menu. Additionally, if you die, you'll be resurrected as a vampire. Of course, a third-person mode is available, but it's much more action-oriented than first-person mode. You'll have access to a number of special abilities, such as invisibility and summoning minions. While Trespasser will have a wide variety of weapon types, the game will have its own set of supernatural weapons. Some of the game's weapons are derived from existing firearms, and you'll be able to pick up new ones as you progress through the game. And, of course, there will be plenty of strange monsters. For instance, one of the monsters you'll encounter is a certain familiar-looking vampire. We saw a mysterious vampire in the first-person mode, and the first-person mode will have its own unique, disturbing visuals that will have an eerie effect on the proceedings.
While Trespasser will have an interesting storyline, its gameplay will fall into the familiar mold of being an RPG with a heavy focus on story. That's because you'll have a number of elements in the game that you can engage in conversation, such as exploration, quests, or even what's called a "weird time" during combat. One of the interesting elements is the ability to talk to and interact with the environment, which can be a driving factor when you're dealing with groups of enemies.
