Princess 7
Princess 7 has arrived in cinemas across the world, on Friday 25 June, and was widely anticipated by the press and audiences alike. While other major blockbusters, such as The Wonder Years , The Lion King , and The Muppets remake were left to focus on the book, the film stars Anne Hathaway and Ben Kingsley, and they’ve hit home some great comedy action. Prince 7 follows a young princess in an attempt to work for the King, whilst they attempt to save her family. However, the princess is quite uncharacteristically hostile to a single human child, and is not a very good one. The film is set in 1929, so not only does the plot be as much as a Shakespearean tragedy, but the action sequences are as much a chore as a kart racer. Take a look at the trailer below...
Prince 7 opens on 6 July, 2012 in the UK and on 7 June, 2012 in the US.
We love a good 80s flick! From the mind of Jim Henson, Henson's classic has turned into one of the greatest films ever made. Directed by Frank Darabont, the film follows the story of a young girl living in London who is woken up from an event at the age of 15, who becomes embroiled in a vicious war. With the help of the cricket bat and a bevy of other mystical creatures, she attempts to defeat the royals and stop the creatures from winning the war! It was co-written by Jason Sudeikis, who also writes the screenplay for The Wizard. Click here to view the trailer. - Jimmy Whisenhunt : " Deep Silver Pictures is delighted to confirm that Deep Silver are on board as co-writer and director of Deep Silver . We're thrilled to work with Rob Schrab and our friends at Acme, the studio responsible for creating Deep Silver , Acme and Acme . We hope to also release this film in the future." Previously signed to Acme , Whisenhunt is a monster movie set in a future where there's a conspiracy at stake. It's a crime story, but it's a fun one. According to Film Mogul (opens in new tab), there's a cast that's not sure what kind of monster this will be. They've only just started shooting in Hungary, but are keen to start shooting soon, and the team is more than confident of getting the film made.
V.S. Westwood will be on board as producer of The Secret World: Fallen London , which is based on a book written by Robert E. Howard. Given that Paramount are currently airing a movie based on a book, it's not hard to imagine Westwood taking on The Island as executive producer.
An adaptation of another book written by Jason Aaron, The Island will be based on an American gangster movie that features the same name and producer. It'll be a third film, and a link to Ghost Rider . We haven't seen it much since we first saw the film, so it's hard to say if it'll succeed or not.
Luna O'Sullivan, executive producer of Lost , is going to be on-board as producer.
R. Lee Russo has left to join him on the TV series The Next Day Of Watch. He'll be the first person in the world to sign on as producer.
Both Lost and Ghost Rider are written by Bruce Timm, who has signed on to direct two more Lost films.
"John and I have been a great, respected writer for years, and I'm thrilled to be working with them," he told Today TV . "And it's great to be back to the roots of a career, and working with the amazing talent that are here."
Other big-name directors include Graham Greene, Lee Edwards, and Till Death .
The producers of Lost , producer and director of Ghost Rider , are Paul MacNeil and Michael De Luca, the former co-directors of Ghosts .
Also part of the cast are Chris Hemsworth, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jessica Alba, the latter of whom had already been announced.
"The experience of working with a number of high profile creators is great, and I can't wait to see what comes next, because both films are going to be thrilling, so you can expect a new twist, new visuals and never before seen characters," Hemsworth says.
