Post Mortem, a minimalist, whimsical metroidvania game that puts you in the shoes of a small, innocent, and lonely man on a quest to retrieve his family's stolen homeland, features several layers of gameplay, co-op support, and levels that can be tackled at your own pace.

When the game begins, you're greeted by a small boy and his black-eyed do-gooders. On his way back to his family home, you'll meet your way through a colorful array of locales, from the dank caves to an ethereal (and very cartoony) forest.

The unique art style can be viewed in the game's manual or a pre-rendered (or 2D) animated scene. When your screen transitions into an overhead perspective, you'll be able to freely explore the vast world to find whatever's there. The interface is similar to Zelda's Ocarina of Time and should feel familiar to anyone who's played games like that game.

One of the biggest new features is the ability to play with up to three other players. At this point, the game doesn't have any online support, so we were able to try the game's cooperative mode. Like in the N64 version of Link's Awakening, Link's Awakening has you fighting in a puzzle, which is another new feature in the game. Once you enter the game's versus mode, the rules are kept the same: you must wait until you enter a battle and your items are taken away, at which point you're free to fight in another round. You'll see the items you've collected and can either let others grab them or bring them back to you, depending on how long the fight lasts. The most exciting part of the mode is the addition of online multiplayer in the game. You can play one of two kinds of local multiplayer: a team fight that puts up to three people against the computer opponent, or a random battle that puts up to three people in a competition.

Once you're in the match, you can pass the controller around and use it as a sword. As with the Zelda series, the sword is tied to the N64 controller's face buttons. The N64 controller has the analog stick, the A button, and the B button. The A button is a combination of the B button and A on the N64 controller. The A button is used for selecting items, and the B button is used for attacking, and the Y button is used for moving items. The C stick is used for special moves and attacks, while the Y button is used for accessing doors. You have to press the Y button while you're fighting to use your weapon, but you can store the items you're currently equipped with in your inventory. You can store the items you've got equipped on the Nintendo 64, including weapons, items, and accessories. Once you're ready to take on a boss, you'll have to earn the rupees you need to win the duel.

The game features a unique battle system that's similar to that of Dynasty Warriors. You'll take on wave after wave of enemy attackers, and you'll have to get to the bottom of the attack order before time runs out. As you defeat enemies, you'll earn rupees that you can spend on a specific item. You'll also earn special bonuses when you get hit by a weapon. The Z button is used to throw your weapon, and it will determine its effectiveness and its accuracy. The A button lets you use your special attacks by pressing up on the D pad while you're in the air. The Y button triggers a special attack. The X button is used to attack. When you're in a spinning stance, you can perform a series of button presses. The square button is used to attack. When you're on the ground, you can perform an air strike by pressing up on the D pad while in the air. The L button lets you perform a powerful aerial attack by pressing up on the D pad while in the air. The R button performs a ground attack, which is one of the coolest moves in the game. The X button is used to jump, and the Y button lets you throw bombs. The L button is used to block, and the R button lets you perform a charge attack. Finally, the Y button is used to run, which is performed by pressing up on the D pad while in the air. The X button lets you perform a shield surfing by pressing up on the D pad while in the air. The square button is used to attack, and the L button is used to attack. The square button is used to attack. The L button is used to call up a list of currently available and current auto-save stations. The right trigger lets you perform different hot-air tricks. The R button lets you run, which is used to perform your boost. The Y button is used to perform your spin move.
