Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of those action movies that needs its name on a poster, while its success in the US charts shows that Disney has a hit on its hands. It took first place in the US charts this week and sold 3.7 million copies worldwide, making it the fastest grossing movie in history, making it the fourth-biggest independent movie of all time. It won a whole bunch of prizes at the Emmys, and the film was nominated for two British Academy Awards – the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and Picture Arts. Expect a cracker next year when it lands in the US. Disney are quite keen on getting up and running on Disney's movie since it's currently filming the US version of The Avengers , and Star Wars: Episode VII . Pirates of the Caribbean opens in the UK on 26 May 2012.

Could there be more good news for Disney in the US for Disney? Remember the original Guardians Of The Galaxy ? Here's a bit more info on the recently resurrected Avengers Assemble , as well as a movie we'd love to see on the big screen: Spider-Man . The new film from Iron Man 3 (formerly Iron Man 3 , co-writer of The Avengers ) will feature some of Marvel's most well-known villains, including Mephisto, the Iron Lord, the Scarlet Witch and the Silver Surfer.
