PALliner

PALliner allows you to connect your computer or TV with your television. With PALliner, you can even add sounds from your new Kwik-Egger and Rhys and the Bronx in your playlist.

Computer Systems Network (PC) PALliner features a wireless link-up and radio connectivity that allows you to control your network's audio, video, and network settings for the sound quality you can expect from your home or office systems. Using a combination of an internet connection with broadband Internet connection and a TV, the audio can be easily be encoded into CD and DVD player software for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Hardware features

A multifunction input for an analog-jack input allows you to add audio to any sound file, whether it's playing an FM signal or the TV's own remote control. The audio will output data for any audio track in one click, making it easier to move between broadcasts and playing back music. The music will be synced to any TV using a set of built-in speakers.

One of the most popular and popular products in the industry, the Vecta's ability to process music directly from the internet to your Mac means that it's easy to use, easy to play, and use.

The iPlayer application offers a huge range of streaming media, allowing you to listen to digital audio and TV programmes that you've already bought in your iTunes library. It also has a handy demo that lets you test your music collection.

The multidirectional stereo audio tuner works with any version of iTunes or Apple's own playlists. And because you can't view the whole channel you'll be able to play a recording using the Media Studio CD.

The iPlayer software is designed to appeal to both music lovers and viewers who want a way to watch live TV with a simple interface. We were impressed with the company's ability to convert audio files into TV and video formats, so this functionality will work as well as any other kind of software.

We tried streaming media from BBC iPlayer from an iPad to an iPod touch. The BBC iPlayer software started life as a local channel and appeared as a part of the web-based package.

While this worked well, there were times when we were left with little control over the quality of the available content, and the quality was fairly low. We found that this was due to the limited bandwidth of our iPad, but unfortunately it didn't matter.

We also liked the way the player works with a second-screen remote control. The Windows-style menu layout was similar, but this time with a touch of the device. This meant that we were able to quickly change the user interface to one that was more modern, although it also meant that the Apple TV came with a few unique features such as Netflix support, Spotify Connect and accessing all of the services on the internet.

Another significant feature of the Apple TV is its appearance. The resolution of the picture is 1080p, although it's perfectly suited to watching HD content.

However, even in the standard definition mode it was significantly grainy and still not up to the standard of the HD8000. During the viewing of DVDs we found that we found that the contrast and colour bars of these features looked a little washed out and lacking in detail, but if you're looking for something similar then you may find this option an adequate addition to your set-up.

The operating system is also quite adept at handling all the standard formats – AVCHD, MPEG, WMV, MP3 and JPEG formats.

The inclusion of One Connect has also been included, allowing you to stream movies from the connected Apple TV to a PC, but it isn't yet widely available in the US, so we'll have to wait and see how it fares in the UK.

In addition, you'll find that there are four Scarts. These are RGB-enabled, but for those who want to use an optical connection rather than the usual composite video.

Other features include three Scarts – one HDMI, one component, one component, an audio output and an electrical digital audio output. You'll also find a PC port and an Ethernet LAN port, which will enable you to connect other PCs and set up wireless networking.

The wireless networking capabilities are strong, with no glaring lag when playing back from a web browser, or downloading and accessing other services. There's also a three-band DLNA Streaming connection, which allows you to connect your Wi-Fi network to your home network, as well as a few dedicated PCs.

Perhaps the only other major feature is a wireless keyboard that's very similar to the best we've seen. While we've seen the same button-laden approach in other products, such as the Asus MG7520, the latest model boasts its own analogue button layout, with a simple seven-character LED matrix design to switch between modes.
