Necronomicon The Dawning of Darkness
Necronomicon The Dawning of Darkness is a first-person RPG that puts you in the role of one of four unlikely characters in the dying worlds of life, hell, and death. The main character, a former lover of the church of life, is a crow, who is joined by a girl named Colton, and the other five (Female, Male, Female, Red, and Female) are the female companions you will have along the way. For those of you who don't know, Necronomicon is a working-class Irish vampire.
Playing as the Greybloods, you will need to fight off zombies that don't live on the outside of the village, and create allies to stop the vampire horde. You will meet various characters along the way, and your foes will occasionally run into the evil you have to fight. Once defeated, they can be turned into stone when you go to town for some good old fashioned justice.
The title has been tweaked for the current generation. The graphics are top-notch, and the game still has many of the typical problems we experienced on other console games. The frame rate is fast and doesn't drop when it comes to your movement. We were able to witness some of the game's more brutal boss battles and more interesting enemy bosses in the game. We were also pleased by the number of weapons, spells, and items to collect. The game also offers several quick-time events that will change depending on what you do. For instance, you can choose to get killed or use a crossbow, and when your character is shot, he will perform an execution that will require him to kill more enemies before he can escape.
The sound is a big part of the game, thanks to a variety of re-recorded tunes that fit the game. The sound in the game is robust and very good. The ambient noises in the game, as well as the overall sound effects for spells, are extremely well done. The game also offers lots of spoken languages, as well as many different sound effects for certain quests. For example, if you decide to participate in a stealth mission, you'll hear a three-horse warbling, which is quite humorous and interesting. There is also plenty of ambient audio in the game as well, which adds to the atmosphere.
The graphics in Oblivion are a mixed bag, but they are still top-notch. The environment is lush and detailed, while the character models have a solid number of polygons. The level of detail on the NPCs is very high, and there is some fairly detailed facial animations when you talk to them. However, the other areas are not especially impressive. For instance, at the start of the game, there are no graphical glitches, although this could be an issue in the long run. Another instance is when the player is in a house and suddenly turns and fights against another player. There are also some instances where enemies may be a bit too scary to try to kill you. However, the graphical effects in Oblivion are exceptional. It is obvious that the game engine is made up of polygons. The textures are very clean and smooth. The areas are very detailed, as do the characters, which are extremely detailed. Of course, they aren't all bad, but some of the character models look too soft. However, there are some instances where the camera is thrown at you. In one of the houses, the player is able to hide and run up and down the stairs, which looks just as realistic. The player can also hide in the shadows, which usually cause their shadow to be cast away.
The game will also feature three skill trees. The skill tree is fairly extensive, and there are a total of nine. In other words, you'll be able to use the skill to unlock better weapons. The skills include hand-to-hand combat, healing, a number of different kinds of items, various other skills, a number of different kinds of spells, and a wide range of items. You'll be able to use different types of spells, including summoning the dragon, to do things like cure an injured party member, or steal items from enemies, and more. The game is scheduled for release in November.
We recently had a chance to check out the game's first level. The first part of our demo, which we're publishing later today, had a number of different tasks. In the beginning of the level, we were exploring a farmhouse, and later in the level, we were trying to cross the bridge and get some loot. To do so, we had to kill a few enemies and then run around the farmhouse to find some magic items and finally make a bridge. As we exited the farmhouse, we were still dealing with enemies that we were dealing with, but we were also attacked by orcs and goblins that we had to kill.
