Metal Heart Replicants Rampage is one of the most interesting spin-offs ever created. The Metal Heart series is one of the more unique franchises in the video game industry, giving players a series of tough boss fights while pitting their favorite characters against one another. Despite the strange premise, Metal Heart manages to keep many of its mechanics from its predecessors while adding in plenty of new twists.

There are many Metal Hearts games out there, ranging from side-scrolling shooters to survival-horror titles. The series has remained dormant for years, with the last new entry being Metal Gears 4 in 2018. The last Metal Heart game was MGS5: The Phantom Pain in 2015, though its development was reportedly rougher than planned due to a shortage of COVID-19.

Metal Hearts Replicant Reunion, as it's being called, is a remaster of Metal Gears 3, which was released for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices in 2020. It brings back a lot of content from the PSP version, such as the Boss Fight and Mission stages, and adds new multiplayer options. In a move that can only be described as a response to the franchise's first MGS game, Metal Gears returns for Metal Gear Solid, while also adding several new story elements.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is considered to be a conclusion to the Metal Gear Solid V saga, and a way to end it, as it's canon. The game will be set in the year 2083, but chronologically, players take on the role of Big Boss, who is actually the last surviving member of the mercenary unit. Not too long after, a nuclear war occurs, with the military team facing the fate of the planet in a nuclear war that has killed over 800 people.

With gameplay consisting of sneaking around and shooting at enemies, Metal Gear Solid V can feel a bit stale, though it does show promise in its story, as it presents a key story beat.

Bayonetta 2 is an exclusive Wii exclusive that can only be played on the Wii U, with only the HD remaster featuring additional content. It is a fantastic game to play with friends, as the game's main focus is to defeat the titular Umbra Witch, who has taken over the world.

Players control both Bayonetta and her Umbra Witch, who embark on an epic quest through a variety of environments. Bayonetta 2 gets pretty much everything right, though, including gameplay elements that refine what the series is known for.

This action RPG isn't exactly a gem, though it has a pretty sweet balance to it. The characters' designs are pretty impressive and the game has plenty of story beats to keep players invested. Players also have the option to unlock a handful of unique weapons.

Like the previous entry, Xenoblade Chronicles X allows players to team up with a variety of characters. The main hook is that the player's party can interact with one another, allowing the game to present a genuinely interesting combat system.

This is a game that is bursting at the seams with content, with the entire game needing to be played through to fully understand why this is the case. It might not be the most refined experience around, but there's no denying that Xenoblade Chronicles X is a brilliant title that deserves all the praise it gets.

The Tales of Berseria is one of the most underrated games in the entire series, with a new game engine and new battle systems helping it rise above its predecessor. The story of Velvet and the mysterious organization known as Black Velvet makes for a great romp across a seamless and captivating world.

The combat is also stellar, with the best part being the fake out battle system that is extremely useful. It's pretty hard to believe that a game featuring this game doesn't exist, with the advent of Arise being truly incredible indeed.

The Tales of series has been making massive strides since the heyday of the JRPG genre. Tales of Xillia might be a game that some fans felt would taint the company, but there's no denying the fact that it's an excellent game that more people need to check out.

The story and combat are great and help players immerse themselves in a world that is truly enthralling to explore. The game has some of the most enjoyable combat out of all the Tales games, and all the hard work that's gone into developing a compelling tale is worth the price of admission.

One of the most charming JRPGs that players can sink their teeth into. The fact that Tales of Graces f is the only title to be published by Bandai Namco means that it's a great candidate for this list, with the first game being a great example of what makes JRPGs work for a studio like Atlus.
