Lingo
LingoMart may not have the highest print figures, but it did have a small showing in all its 300,000-odd scan lines.
In its 100,000-sheet multi scan test, LingoMart made clear that the full scan line was not the fastest and most efficient, but it showed what the company was looking for: it is an easy and secure printer for printing documents from computer systems, tablets and mobile devices. It can print up to 35 pages per minute, with the ability to do so with a minimum of 2x scanning speed.
The printer we received the most test was the device we printed on: a TFT color cartridge from German company E.vendor. It matched our test print quality at 600 x 600 dpi with an 8x scanning rate of 7 x 600 dpi, and the machine was able to print on both 1x and 2x discs.
One aspect of the LingoMart printer that we do not feel particularly impressed by is its performance with lots of data at once. For example, the printer has 30Mbit LTP and the scanner speed on paper was 10ppm in the first test. The Epson WorkForce WF-3110DTWF was not at all slow when printing from the LingoMart network at the same time as we did printing from the network.
When we set up our test PC, we were pleased to find that the LingoMart print quality was just as good, even when compared to our benchmarking tests of the printer. It wasn’t as bad as we would have liked, but at this price it’s a small price to pay to have one of the fastest duplex lasers we’ve tested.
It prints on a per-page basis, a lot quicker than the Brother MFC-J6945DW, and documents appear more accurate than with the Brother MFC-J6945DW, which uses dye-based cyan, magenta, yellow and magenta ink.
Print speeds are average at 100ppm in mono and 50ppm in colour. Colour is average at 27ppm for mono and 28ppm for colour, but again, it’s a fairly slow rate for a laser printer. If you’re not into color printing, you’ll be disappointed. In testing, the Canon Officejet Scallop M1650e printed up to around 3.5 seconds, so this is a printer that will only accept a couple of pages of paper and is most likely to be used as a photo printer rather than a brochure.
The four cartridges provided are very good quality, although in the age of 24-page documents, you may find they’re quite hot. In our tests, the Brother MFC-J6945DW got pretty much the same speed as the Canon Officejet Scallop M1650e, although it’s not clear whether the cartridges are actually in use or not. A quick scan was found in just over 6 minutes on the unit’s built-in Wi-Fi module, and this came as no surprise considering the huge size of the printer.

The ADF is a standard HPP-1000X that has a couple of features that make it an attractive alternative to other models in this category, in that it has a touchscreen interface. The touchscreen is responsive and can be used at the touch of a button. You can also scan at the highest resolution you want.
Unlike a lot of other printers in this class, the ADF is relatively compact, with a single sheet tray and a pre-installed ink cartridge. The latter will only be used to store one or two extra pages, but the setup manual states that you can store up to 100 pages.
There is another unusual feature that makes the model a bit easier to use, that it has the ink cartridges in the front for both models and that it can be used as a dual-mode ink. The Canon suggests that you can use the printer as a single-mode device for a greater speed of copying and scanning.
We were impressed with the speed of printing from HP’s own cloud and office apps. The cartridges can be re-locked using the same 20-page unit as well as other consumables.
