K Hawk Survival Instinct

K Hawk Survival Instinct is a survival sports game for the PlayStation and PC. According to product-level director Chris McQuoid, the game uses the Unreal engine to produce realistic water effects.

In true fighting game fashion, players can fight in 16 different arenas, all of which have been modeled by professional artists. Each environment features a unique design and gamers can choose from 15 different kinds of characters.

The game also uses particle effects to showcase realistic rag-doll physics. Special effects are mixed with realistic explosions and lighting effects, such as beams of wind, anvils, and the debris in the floor, and the results are impressive.

The game is scheduled to ship in April 2000 for a price of US$39.95.
