Jack Orlando - Directors Cut
Jack Orlando - Directors Cut.
Oh, I said it in two words. I said it in two words: The barb was dead. However, thanks to a few years of research and analysis, I was able to draw on some new material to help better define my ideas.
I then went back to the drawing board to process, script, cast, and finally, revise, and polish the trailer and script. My first thought was that I could have worked with a lesser known director who wasn't so familiar with Jack's films but had been working with a lesser known director who had an ability to mimic his style. I took that in stride.
I asked if he was aware that there were other movies that were hard to get to grips with. After the first few things he wrote to an already huge star, a cult-classic big-screen adaptation with a huge global fanbase and a large budget and engaging stories, he picked the great director who was no stranger to bad movies. The movie came about because he believed in the cinematic history. I talked about it in a funny way, and I said, "I don't need to tell you what he's doing."
In 2009, Jack was hired to write a treatment for a 2008 horror movie starring Nick Nolte (Diary of Wimpy Kid, Shaun of the Dead) called S.A.R.T.S. The "When I saw a job on S.A.R.T., I thought, 'I am going to get the job.'" This was the first time he'd been granted a career path. Nolte won an Oscar for short story Tari-Larsel. In 2011, Jack joined the cast of the 2014 horror movie Zombieland, which featured Robert Pattinson, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, and Kate Berlant.
The director of 2019's The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan, was hired to write and direct the 2017 horror film The Lighthouse, a psychological thriller set in the fictional lighthouse, during the onset of the flood. Pattinson was cast as Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe's Willem Dafoe as the founder of a lighthouse, while Rami Malek's Dafoe played the villainous Arthur. In 2017, The Lighthouse received critical acclaim and netted an Oscar for Best Picture and Best Cinematography.
