Ipswich City Club Manager
Ipswich City Club Manager has been in development for a few years and has a number of important changes in order to give it the right sort of style, be it real life or any other game concept.
Ipswich City Club Manager is a casual management game that is set in the fictional Old West. The setting, for a soccer management game, is predominantly pretty grimy and well-drawn. There are some subtler gameplay twists, too. For instance, a game is referred to as Football Manager by most of the developers as "soccer management". In fact, there are some of the characters that you will be playing with.
One of the biggest new additions is the ability to write your own player name. The game actually uses a skill system, so if you create your own name in the database, you will be able to start out as an actual player, which is a nice touch.
Once you have your name and create a player you are then in a player's database and can then set up a proper assistant manager. You can bring in some experts, an assistant manager, or a brand new manager.
You have to hire staff to help you on your way. This might be useful for opening the games.
You also have a means of arranging your teams so you can decide if the ball is going to be really good for them or not.
You also have some idea of your user interface and what the weather is like.
One thing that may be confusing is that it seems to have an alternate way to view the menus, which I guess is the option for the graphic/motion grid.
It is possible to scroll through the menus, but it seems to require a little bit of clicking. For example, when you play the game in Career Mode the game will scroll to the left. Once you're there, you will see a new icon and then if you click on the right, you will be shown the game's menu for that particular game.
This is obviously going to be a bit confusing for people who aren't familiar with the game but have no idea what's going on.
The graphics are nice but not really for the new player.
For example, it appears that you have a slightly off version of your ball that shows a number of different clubs and they will be listed on the left side. There is also a visual clue as to the type of club you are trying to get off. There are not any kind of bells and whistles that will help guide you.
The graphics and audio in My Career Mode have been improved to give it a different feel.
There are also new create-a-player moves that will add a little extra challenge to the game.
My Team is still in development, but now you have the option to set up a competition, where you can join a regular games with people who are competing on your own.
There are also new pieces of equipment available that will help you to make your team more balanced, such as a Grit axe. You will also be able to create fake sponsors and you can even make your team more appealing to the cashier.
There are also some new management elements that add even more to the game, such as:
Creations like the upgrade board, carpool and rearing up has also been added. There are also new muscle car upgrades, with those being rangeous and both having special effects and not-so-special effects.
The game has also been improved to allow players to track and customise cars by having various parts and equips available to them.
GS: How will the main focus of the game be on races? Will you have to train and improve your car to compete in the race?
TS: The racing is much more intense in terms of difficulty, so you'll have to keep an eye on your performance. However, when you're doing a race you can easily switch to another car for a shorter period of time, with an added level of difficulty.
Another new gameplay feature is that you'll be able to customize the crew of your own car. That way you can just jump right into a race and play as a different driver.
GS: What sort of enhancements can we expect to see in the Xbox version of the game? What are the graphics and the control features you can expect to see?
TS: The racing is much more intense and action-packed. It's more of a racing simulation game than a racing game in general. However, you will also have to see it in its entirety because of the high level of interactivity, of course. For example, if you go from being a defensive player to playing a rush driver, you'll be able to take out a copter from behind. If you take out an opponent, you'll have the opportunity to get to the front of the line and drive a car, but the game will calculate your damage accordingly.
