Hover Ace
Hover Ace, a brand-new 3D strategy title, is coming soon to the Nintendo DS and PSP in Japan. It's been given a September release date. In the story, you'll have to get your troops together and defeat wild dragons.
This is your first crack at an RPG where you'll have to be on the battlefield for ages. You'll be fighting an assortment of enemies, including dragons, evil bad guys, and other creatures.
Sail the skies, as you won't be able to use your massive, great eyesight as you would in real life. In this game you'll be able to switch between multiple planes, swoop down to a faraway city, and try to perform a number of maneuvers like mining, swordplay, and flying.
The battles will last around five-10 hours and feature some of the most detailed graphics ever seen on the DS. It looks like it will really capture the world, so check out the screenshots in the gallery.
Finally, this is your first look at the DS game of your choice. Not that we need to worry about having to do a Super Mario 64 DS party of red noses. Our first thoughts on the game were on how it will play. Aside from the touchscreen, you'll be able to manage everything from your inventory to your creature's skills. The game will feature four different professions--warrior, thief, mage, and druid--each of which will have different aspects and powers, which will determine your success. On top of that, you'll also be able to raise and evolve your creature into a variety of different beasts, which can be summoned by the creature and then taken into battle. You'll be able to see how many different types of creatures you have and how many types of magic is in the game. In order to do that, you'll have to use the touch screen, but the DS doesn't have a compass on the bottom screen and so you'll have to pick up the stylus and take a photo of yourself.
Beyond these basic controls, there's an innovative aspect to Creature Isle that doesn't really have any form of in-game currency or anything. You'll find a net you can use to buy items like potions, potions, and other helpful items that are just for visual purposes. You'll also be able to purchase items from the in-game store using real money, which can be found by buying potions from the Store using real money.
Other ways to customize your creature are to have your creature come out to play in different ways. Your creature will have a more sophisticated set of animations and can cycle through its various "crystalments" in order to set the look of each attack. For example, if your creature has an axe, he'll roll down his axe and strike with a huge axe attack. If your creature is more powerful, he'll get a flaming sword that he'll roll into the ground, and if you're playing with a fighter who uses a sword, you'll be able to hurl a sword into the ground and follow that up with an axe strike. You'll even be able to see your creature running on walls and down paths when you draw a bowstring, making it easier for you to hit the enemies you're fighting.
You'll also be able to play with an AI-controlled character, but you can also use your AI-controlled creature to play against your real-life friends in a cooperative adventure. You can use your AI companions as though you were an AI character.
All the monsters will be rendered using 3D polygons, and as we mentioned, there will be four major character models in all. In addition to the game's four main monsters, there will also be three more monsters, each with its own unique abilities and play styles. The final trio of monsters will be his own monstrous creations that will be completely separate from each other and will share the same basic abilities.
Giants' story will follow on from the events in the previous games, as the king of the Apeiron once had a devious scheme in mind. The apes won't be as villainous as we feared them, but they will still be up against a new foe. All the different species will have their own unique abilities, including poison, which you'll be able to deplete with the creature's vicious sting, and tentacle, which can only be done by combining a rat and a human. The apes will have new abilities and will even be able to assume new forms based on what they eat, which will offer a variety of advantages in battle. As for gameplay, Giants will be a very fast-paced experience, since the levels will be split up into stages, and you'll have to build up your base camp. As with the previous games in the series, Giants will also feature plenty of special items that you'll be able to pick up. For instance, one level in the game will feature a stationary dragon that you'll need to ride to the top of a towering cliff.
