Hope Springs Eternal

Hope Springs Eternal was successfully funded through Kickstarter, having raised $53,333.

The official Kickstarter page for Hope Springs Eternal was recently updated with a video which gives a quick rundown of the game, showing off the levels that you’ll be exploring.

Said video shows the first three levels of the game, which include an industrial complex and an underwater cave. Here’s what the development team said about the video:

The first stage of the game begins with the player character on a deep-sea adventure, where they must move from one area of the valley to the next. At the bottom, the player will find a mini-boss, who needs to be killed before they can use energy from it to reach a new area. It is up to the player to defeat this giant crab and collect its loot before he can claim it for himself.

After that, the player will encounter the first of the game’s four mini-bosses, Angie. Angie is the tutorial boss, and can be fought at the beginning of the game. The player will need to defeat her before she can use energy to reach a new area.

The second game’s third mini-boss is the first boss, The Shark. This boss, named ‘The Shark’, is pretty easy, but the player will need to kill him before he can use energy to power up his tent. If they have the game’s bronze rating, they’ll get to fight The Shark.

Players will also find a Herba Mystica that will turn blue, and players will be tasked with keeping it protected.

The fourth game’s fifth mini-boss is the very last. This creature is fairly easy to defeat, mainly due to the fact that it wears armor made from materials. However, its small size makes it tricky.

The fifth member of The Ditto race is located at the bottom of the crater area of the Paldea region, as pointed out by the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet website, “Ilfapa Passage”. However, the name is a reference to the Ilfapa Passage in Barcelona, Spain, and also inspired by Barcelona, Spain.

Another Pokemon that bears a striking resemblance to this creature is Koraidon and Miraidon. Both creatures can be found on the ground, but players can also spot the Legendary Pokemon in its purple, orange, and red, similar to the one found on Miraidon and Koraidon.

In terms of gameplay, the similarity to both Koraidon and Miraidon makes them much easier to defeat. Koraidon seems to be a mix of powerful electric type and defensive type, with the orange area dominating both of its legs, while the yellow area dominating Miraidon with its legs.

Players will also find a large, round body of water in the center of Paldea. Unlike Koraidon and Miraidon, this Pokemon is purely Electric-type, and is composed of what looks like a large body of water.

A similar type of Pokemon to Miraidon and Miraidon also appears in the game's promotional material, which depicts the Legendary Pokemon in a purple, circular, circular shape.

In terms of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, they appear quite similar to Miraidon and Koraidon, with the only differences being their coloration and their abilities. Miraidon seems to be a bit more warlike, while Miraidon seems to be more defensive.

In terms of gameplay, players will get to see more of the open world and land that surrounds Paldea, while flying and riding the Koraidon that they have just been introduced to in the Paldea region. It is worth noting that Miraidon and Miraidon seem to be able to move fast, whereas Koraidon seems to be able to run for longer.

As it turns out, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will also feature a non-linear open world, though the open world seems to be more of an in-universe exploration-based affair. Players will have the chance to explore the entire region freely, although how exactly this is used will probably be different than the one that was in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Scarlet & Violet's day and night cycle will likely play into this, with the first Pokemon generation from each generation having a time-limit of five minutes. This means that any Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trainers interested in checking out the games are going to have to put in the work to complete the day and night cycle, which is a pretty big deal considering that most Pokemon have the ability to travel through the world in one piece.

It's highly likely that a lot of players will be picking up Pokemon Scarlet & Violet because of the variety that's on offer here.
