Heroes of Might And Magic V Hammers of Fate is the first game from Hi-Rez Studios to be developed by a longtime developer in what's described as a series of "top-down RPG combat simulators" developed by City Interactive. The game takes place a few years after Heroes of Might & Magic V, and it focuses on the return of the Heroes of Might & Magic role-playing game formula.

As you might expect, the world of Cyrodiil is full of colorful characters and more than a few nostalgic elements. Players will join a colorful cast of characters known as heroes of destiny, though they will also need to use their skills to solve problems. The game's streamlined interface, for example, means that each of your heroes is represented by a big screen, making it easy to select each hero's skills and abilities from the menu. To call for help, players must click on a command panel at the top of the screen and select which skill they want to prioritize. As they progress through the game, they will also encounter a handful of different groups of enemies, each with their own motivations and goals.

However, if a player is tired of their main character's campaign, they can start working on new content and improve their skills by recruiting helpers from the common factions of the other factions. These include the Daedra, the lizardfolk, the undead, and the undead. Each faction has its own unique experience, so it's important to watch out for these unique traits and stats. New teammates will serve as random NPCs on the battlefield, and when they're recruited, they'll each have their own personality and different abilities, some of which can be gained through recruitment.

You can also use your heroes' structures and chests to upgrade your heroes, and they can learn more about their backgrounds, making them a valuable asset when exploring the world.

A big focus of the expansion was the introduction of a new enemy faction called the Daemon. The Daemon is a reoccurring enemy in Oblivion, and it's the most deadly faction in the game, so you'll want to battle it head-on in your quest to defeat it. As your level increases, you'll also unlock special abilities and skills to help you overcome the Daemon's army of demonic servants. It's not only about keeping your team stocked with powerful weapons and spells, though, as your Daemon also has a heart, which you'll need to spend in order to increase your total level. Your Daemon also has the ability to absorb spells, which is a huge bonus when you get through most of the game's content.

The role-playing game genre has been a popular choice for RPGs in the past, and Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is no exception to that rule. As a recently launched title in the RPG genre, Morrowind offers a solid 30 hours of gameplay for your average gamer. When you start the game, you'll begin by exploring the bustling Shivering Isles, a mysterious location inhabited by dwarves, elves, and a mauroch. While this initial quest doesn't offer the opportunity to see any new areas, you can explore an earlier portion of the game. As you make your way through the massive lands of Morrowind, you'll encounter various creatures that will aid you in your quest.

In terms of graphics, Oblivion offers a clean, detailed, and highly detailed look for a Bethesda game. The textures for the characters and environments are well done and have a nice heft to them. The colorful grass and rocks in the game feature a nice amount of detail, as do the many little touches that come along with the visual look. Though it seems like the game doesn't have any special features, the huge vegetation that you'll be exploring and the giant spiderlike creatures you'll encounter in the game are well done. You'll be able to lock on to a target and hit it when using your weapon. You'll be able to switch between any weapon on the fly and switch to it mid-combo if you need to.
