Hero
Hero - Sunhawk (PC) is a first-person shooter for PC that was originally scheduled for release in 2000. But today, it was announced that the PC version of the game will be released later this year. You can check out the demo for the PS2 version on the Sony Online Web site and check out the latest trailer for the PS2 version on the Sony Online site.
Featuring the same epic sci-fi and fantasy universes of the Dreamcast game, Hero is set in a small urban area where massive robotic creatures hunt you down. The map and enemies within that area are randomized, and the enemies and bosses that you fight in each area are unique.
There will be three game modes for players to choose from - Battle, Brawl and Crash. There will be a training mode for those who want to learn the game's single-player mode, as well as other modes of play that will include FPS, simulation, versus, survival, RPG, and mini-game modes. Players will also be able to switch between characters at any time.
No exact details on the game's multiplayer modes were given, and a specific release date was not announced.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the new gameplay video for Heroes, which shows the different combat types, a really nice lighting engine, and some gorgeous-looking environments and creatures that can be tamed.
