Hearts Deluxe's car-combat simulation series has always been a lot of fun. You can even drive a car and carry it around, though for the most part it seems a bit sparse. But with AllDrive, Electronic Arts is continuing to expand on the franchise, this time by taking you out on a number of stunt missions. The game will take place in Germany, the Pacific Northwest, and a number of other familiar environments, such as a train station and a factory. We saw the game at a recent EA press event and found it to be pretty faithful to the series. The missions in the game seem to come down to proper train tracks and have you driving along a designated route, while on the lookout for other passengers. The story-driven storyline appears to take a much darker turn in the sequel.

With AllDrive, EA is aiming for an emotionally engaging game. If you played the previous games, you'll recognize the familiar look and feel of the series' cars and driving action. The game will attempt to do something different, though it's still a while before we get to see it. The game will also take the wind out of the wheel by incorporating some more driving elements. You'll be able to turn your car into a pickup truck that can then be modified to unlock new parts, such as suspension. If you've got the car as your primary mode of transport, you'll be able to pilot it around the world and repair damaged vehicles. You'll also be able to play any of the games in the franchise with the choice to use either your car or your real-life Subaru Impreza, and the choice is yours.

Graphically AllDrive looks like it could end up looking pretty good, especially if you opt for the beefier model. EA has done a good job of trimming down some of the game's blockier areas, such as road signs and road markings. In addition, the game features a good amount of detail in the character models. As mentioned, you'll see cars smoking in the game's various missions, and they will come alive in a variety of ways. You'll see subtle dirt in the game's cities, where the dirt will be reflected off the pavement. You'll also see details in the environment as you go about your business. For instance, in one mission we played, we saw that one of the game's cities will be a sort of shed and dump. Your job is to pick up passengers who are on the way, and you'll get a good look at the part of the city that we saw in action.

Once you have a handle on the driving and graphics, the game looks quite sharp, thanks to a large number of improvements. Detail has been bumped up in all of the game's locales, which, to a degree, make the city seem more lively and interesting. You'll see pedestrians who are non-player characters in the game, which gives the game a visual sense of scale. The game's frame rate also seems quite good, which helps to make the city seem as though it's actually on the road as opposed to randomly rolling in and out. It will also have several frame rate issues, such as the frame rate, which was too long for us to get a good look at. The city itself seems to be quite interactive, thanks to the attention to detail that's been added to give it a more cinematic feel. You'll notice the significant differences in lighting and particle effects in the game. As with the previous titles in the series, the city environment is a big part of the game's presentation, as it offers a rich and detailed look that suits the setting. As far as the game's presentation goes, it looks as though you'll spend most of your time in the city and explore it as you like. You'll be able to check out assorted environmental details on the city by examining different parts of it. You'll find more than 50 different objects that are categorized as "tree fragments" in the city. When you collect the pieces, you'll be able to import them into the city, as well.

The game's graphics are shaping up nicely and are coming together quite well. You'll see some nice touches, such as the inclusion of progressive real-time lighting and reflections, that helps make the city appear more detailed. Detail on the city is sharp and the frame rate stays consistent. You'll notice a good amount of variety in the game's visuals. The city is complemented by a good amount of eye candy, as well as a nicely done set of assorted effects that set the action on screen. The various effects do a fine job of complementing the game's look. You'll notice a nice assortment of effects, such as rain, motion blur, and motion blur. The effects are complemented by some slick visuals and a good amount of interactivity. You'll notice that you'll find a good amount of interactivity and interactivity when you hit the proper surface.
