Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban is due for release in early 2012. We've no idea if the game will be a re-hash of last year's adventure book, but then again that was pretty much the same plot that we were given in last year's teaser trailer. But a quick jolt from those with knowledge of the book's book is enough to leave you yearning for a full-fledged game. And to refresh your memory, we've got the full list of Prisoner Of Azkaban trailers, featuring details of every element, enemy, and character in the game.
If you’re interested in the previous two games then you'll want to catch this one's new trailer, which features even more scaly red and black robes than we've already seen. Look below for a rundown of the highlights.
First Impressions:
Might & Magic takes place at the Rubeus Tower of Hogwarts. The campus is named after the campus's hall of wizards. Many students have known of the location since before this one existed.
We learned about the major plot points of the first game. The students have devised spells for use by the Witch King, and now it's time for them to discover what they've been up to.
The new trailer demonstrates the spells. With glyphs popping up, the main characters fight against monsters using a variety of new spells. We see Dementors, who throw exploding dark energy balls at the four powerful wizards. After fighting a dark wizard, we see a new type of spell--the healing spell.
According to a witch in the trailer, there's also a special way of dealing with the magical creatures. "There's no use for magic. A little extra magic, but still some clever little trickery," said Dementors. The end of the trailer reveals an underground laboratory. Players will be given two different choices: proceed with caution or make use of the dark energy balls. Dementors use a dark magic signal that's emanating from the laboratory to trigger the expansion, while spells can only be used by wizards in the original game.
The remaining story details about the new game are shrouded in mystery. Dementors, an expansion, will be the final expansion for the original game. It will be set during the summer of 1937, but Dementors will be set at the time of the Cold War. The game will be based on the Cold War, but Dementors will have a smaller scale. It will also feature characters in the time period from 1955 to 1955.
One of the main characters in Dementors is Colonel Dick Bradley, a former US president who now works as a night guard. A new addition to the game is Kurt Caldwell, a defector for the Soviet Union who, like Jim Taurus, specializes in dark magic. Caldwell also has a variety of weapons, including a machine gun, which is a standard addition to the original game. But it's worth noting that in the expansion, Night Vision is being tweaked so that night vision can be used in conjunction with the local light sources to locate enemies and infiltrate areas. You'll be able to use the tactical combination of night vision and thermal vision to find enemies, and in addition, you'll be able to use the new cover system to spot enemies behind cover.
Another area that will be included in the expansion will be city hubs. This is not a static area, as you'll have the option to roam these areas independently of each other. However, with Night Vision, you'll be able to take these areas and their properties into the mission area by way of a customizable radio tower, which will offer multiple ways to complete a mission. You'll be able to set up a variety of events, such as rescuing hostages or attacking the VIP area, for instance, and then use that area to reach an objective. For instance, you may have to escort an unconscious civilian to a safe zone to get out. The new system also includes several new features, such as an active camouflage system that lets you blend in with the background and so on. In addition, the system includes night vision to take out enemies in the darkest parts of the night.
The game will include six playable characters, including the master assassin, the cybernetic hand, the soldier, and the assassin, who can be added to your team. Each character has a unique personality and set of weapons that he or she can use to perform special actions. For example, Jean is a burly man with a penchant for stealth, while Gordon is the meanest assassin with a penchant for explosives. The game features an upgrade system that will let you upgrade the graphics engine and audio, as well as the artificial intelligence that will occasionally give you a heads-up on where to go next. In addition, the game features three playable characters in the single-player mode, including the renegade hacker, the warrior robot, and the assassin, who can use her hacking skills to find and disable computers.
