Half LifeBlue Shift
Half LifeBlue Shift 2 is probably the most anticipated and pre-anticipated Half-Life sequel by many gamers. Fans of Valve Software's groundbreaking first-person shooter (essentially Half-Life) have been eager to see if Blue Shift 2 was going to be as much of a leap forward as the original. The Dreamcast version of Blue Shift will feature more gameplay, improved graphics, and new gameplay elements. This time around, Half-Life: Blue Shift will also support Half-Life's own comprehensive physics engine, an advanced new look for both characters and weapons, and new technology, as well as new maps and enhanced AI.
On the other hand, the plot of the game remains a mystery, and not only are we now in control of Alyx Vance and her rebellious comrade, G-Man, but we are finally beginning to learn more about the protagonist and his motivations. While the story is still a mystery, and Half-Life: Blue Shift's online play is definitely not going to be on the cutting edge of PC gaming, there are still a lot of questions left to answer. Will the campaign be split up into two campaigns, or will the side stories be split up and given the chance to be different characters?
Half-Life: Blue Shift will be the sequel to Half-Life, and will feature a number of gameplay enhancements that you should expect from the series. For instance, the level design has been enhanced, with level designs that now reflect the differences between our different first-person levels and their new world. The new graphics engine also gives us a chance to try out some of the new weapons, weapons, and animations in the game. While the original game used old maps and the main cast as main characters, Blue Shift will actually be a full-fledged sequel that will let you play as both Gordon Freeman and a number of Half-Life characters. In the new levels, you'll actually be able to play as both Gordon Freeman and Alyx in the new mission, which we'll describe later. In addition to the gameplay enhancements, the expansion will also include a new campaign that, according to Half-Life's designers, will "reinvigorate the experience for Half-Life veterans and newcomers alike."
The new level will offer some unique gameplay twists to the game's action.
One of the coolest new features that we've seen so far in the expansion is the shift from human form to the crystalline life form that has appeared in the core levels. This transformation has allowed us to experience a slightly different atmosphere than the way the human form was in the original game. In the expansion, you'll find the city of City 17 and a number of previously unseen areas, and while some of the city sections may have remained shrouded in darkness, there are still plenty of secrets hidden away in the city that aren't found anywhere else in the Half-Life universe. The designers have also given us the opportunity to see a number of new playable character models that will not only re-create the look of their original counterparts, but will also feature different abilities. The original Half-Life cast--the Duke, the Oppressor, the Xen, the Combine, and the P-51--have all been given some kind of makeover. Most notably, the new characters will have their own unique weapons that will complement their abilities. For example, the familiar and menacing Half-Life characters, the crowbar and the force gun, will all have the same weapons. One of the characters' weapons, the psychic crowbar, will also be available to players. The P-51 also had the ability to use an ability similar to that of the alien character, which lets him carry an energy gun. The level we saw was set in the prison colony of Black Mesa, and it showed how to use psychic energy grenades and psionic abilities. In addition, the development team at Ritual was also working on the new Q-camera system. Ritual's own feature, the new "bio rift," will also feature enhanced lighting effects and a new environment-specific effect, called "p-camo." Ritual has also added a new gameplay mode to the game called "doubling.ble," which will let you have two Q-axis and two separate views for using telekinesis.
You'll be able to use your psychic gun to solve puzzles.
The levels that we saw featured at least two different areas that took place in either an outer space or an outer space-looking laboratory. In the laboratory, players had to dodge security cameras, get to the left of an enemy base, and then attempt to get past them with melee attacks. In the first level, for example, players were charged with stealthily entering a prison. This level showed the dark world that Ritual is attempting to capture, and it also gave us a glimpse of what the team has done in the game's weaponry. There were an array of melee weapons, including a revolver, a bazooka, and a knife, and as Ritual revealed, some will be able to do a secondary action.
