Freak Out Extreme Freeride
Freak Out Extreme Freeride takes the developer's dual-stick shooter to a new level by throwing players into an open world where they can use jetpacks, grappling hooks, laser guns, jetpacks, and a mighty rocket launcher in order to take out their opponents.
The game will feature 12 different maps, some inspired by the Rocky Mountains and New York City locations of the film's 1979 Rocky film, but some of them are based on actual locations and the first two movie's are set in New York City, like Ferris wheel and Church Street. As you traverse through the city, you'll encounter various people and vehicles, all of which are well-known to gamers. The fast-paced game features an unprecedented level of collision detection. While jetpacks may not be as iconic as some of the similar shooters on the PlayStation 2, Freak Out Extreme is pretty darn amazing.
Also included in the game are several special bonus levels. These will have special bonus levels that reward players for successfully completing them. This will also include some weapons, like the ghetto blaster and grenades.
The online mode has a number of unlockable modes, including a survival mode.
While Freak Out Extreme won't support the PS2 online service, it does support the console's two analog sticks. The game will have four different controller configurations: the standard configuration, the default, and the arcade one. All the gamepads have five different face buttons, so players will have total freedom. And for the first time, you'll be able to play with a first-person camera, though you will need a third-person camera to make it happen. You will also be able to change camera views by using the face buttons on the analog stick, which will be crucial to the gameplay. The game will have a heads-up display that will let you know which weapons you have equipped. For instance, players will be able to see which weapons they can pick up on their way down. While you'll be able to choose from multiple head-shots and will also be able to give your weapon a grenade, you'll be able to pick up only a single weapon and carry it back to the front.
In addition, the game will have a kill-cam that will show you what you're getting into and around you. Once you're up and in the game, you'll be able to see what the other players are doing onscreen, including who they're shooting at, what direction they're facing, and more. There will be around 25 weapons in the game, and they all come in the form of different grenades, including the sawed-off shotgun, which is good for sniping enemies from a distance. You'll also be able to use thermal vision to target your enemies and items such as sticky bombs.
The game's multiplayer will include deathmatch and capture the flag modes as well as minigames, and we were pleased to see a feature that appeared in the PC version of the game, although this didn't make the final cut. The best news is that the PC version of the game will support LAN multiplayer in the game. The mode that we saw looked and felt very similar to the one used in the Xbox version, except that it was possible to play with up to three other players. While the game will obviously support split-screen play, it will apparently not feature a split-screen mode at all. However, we were able to see an in-engine cutscene of a soldier walking around a corner and showing him being blown apart by a grenade.
The PC version of the game will feature all the above, but the Xbox version will be the biggest game of the year.
One of the most unique elements of Red Alert 2 is its "role-playing" system. In previous games, you would set out in missions to gain influence and gain more experience. You would earn experience from missions by doing battle in your privateer plane and interacting with other pilots. Now, you'll have the ability to customize your character's appearance by choosing your name, color scheme, headgear, facial hair, and face colors. In addition to looking great, you'll also have a wide range of weapons to use. You'll be able to play as the American, Japanese, German, or Japanese sides of the spectrum, and you'll be able to have either the American or British side. There will also be an even wider range of missions, including secret missions that you'll be able to take on as either the Allies or the Allies.
As in the previous games, there will be a multiplayer component.
The single-player game will not only feature four campaigns, but it will also include a few multiplayer modes. The four modes will include deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, and tank hunt. The online mode will support up to 16 players on the PlayStation 2. The multiplayer is said to include standard deathmatch and team deathmatch, as well as a quick-match mode for up to 32 players.
