FantasticFortune 2

FantasticFortune 2 was set to launch in April, but we've been hearing lots and lots of positive reactions from both critics and audiences for the film, which arrives next summer.

For the uninitiated, Fantastic Fortune will see the titular film's villain pitted against a group of superpowered beings. Starring Robin Wright, Josh Duhamel, Imelda Staunton, and Maria Hill, it is one of the most expensive superhero movies ever made.

Taking the full narrative of the movie's plot, the film will be told in the same way as the first film, with the superhero team being sent to a remote island in order to prevent a mysterious new threat from taking over.

But who are the key players? Will they be all-powerful beings, villains with particular special powers and superpowers, the likes of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? And will there be some minor new cast members for the film? Read on to find out.

"It's such a wild ride, and you'll wonder if the movie is going to be a smash hit or a critical flop in its own right," Wright recently told us. "Because the movie got so bad, you can't help but feel that it's a good, big budget blockbuster, even if it's not a superhero movie."

"In this case, it's about action and getting to know this person, going in, the world, looking at this individual and understanding what that person is, the way they do it, you'll understand what that person is, what that person is. And that's what made the movie such a massive success, even though it got a bad box office run. So that was really the challenge."

Regardless of whether you agree with Wright's statement, "I think there's only one thing you can say about superhero movies: they're now just bad, and that's the weakness of these movies."

She continued: "The movies were always so massive that you couldn't tell the difference between superhero movies and big budget blockbusters."

"The power of these movies is not necessarily going to be black and white or anything like that, and so on. I think that when you compare the effects and the type of attention that you have on these characters, the message that they're actually there is really important. And if they're not black and white, then it's a different story. So you can't just judge what's on screen. You can't make a movie that's black and white that's so big, and you have to make a movie that is a sci-fi film that has spaceships in it, spaceships, or spaceships, and the stakes are so high and you have to be able to tell that story to people in order to make it a sci-fi movie."

And to think, as soon as Disney bought the Star Wars franchise, it no longer had any direct involvement. Instead, Disney became one of the major players in the studio's global distribution strategy. Even at this early stage, Disney still had some executive positions at Disney, including director and co-chairman Jon Favreau. But once Disney acquired Star Wars, Star Wars became one of the biggest brands in the world.

"We were so big that the movie business became a global deal because it's a big movie franchise," says Favreau. "We were so big that it got a Star Wars sequel that you could buy and there was a brand that was only in Disney's '90s.

"I mean, it was a movie franchise. And now you have to have Star Wars. And there are so many different genres in media. You just have to have Star Wars. But the Star Wars universe is so huge. It's a very expansive world. It's just got a lot of sequels. And then we were really close to that. So we just kind of fell back on the idea that if we had all the movies, and then we could put Star Wars in Disney's vault, then that would probably create some failures. And it's still the same thing."

Those failures have been cited in a number of movies and television shows, including a Star Wars live-action TV series with Daisy Ridley as Rey, a Star Wars movie that recently won rave reviews with critics, and a Clone Wars series that is available on Cartoon Network.

More recently, EA did its own Clone Wars video game, which many may have already bought out but has yet to appear on a console. There are many more Clone Wars video games coming, with this one also being released. But is there any particular challenge with a game to make sure it is playable on any device?

"Yeah, I don't think it's a challenge," Colin told me. "It's a challenge for the publishers. The strategy for us is pretty different.
