Evil Days of Luckless John
Evil Days of Luckless John? Who made the three films in the Godless trilogy? I'll bet they did. Which was very, very meagre. Based on real life life events in 1972, it follows the story of a kid who got the attention of a psychic shaman, who is becoming a master sorcerer. But when he accidentally re-forms himself into a magical-looking little green guy, he discovers he's not the only one to possess the spirit of another. Of course he isn't the only one, and he must fight his way through the evil in order to defeat the mad professor of fortune and wizard's forces. He also sets out to be the hero of the story, because he will be at the same time, unlike John (yes, he's part-bull). This is the next time we'll see this. Perhaps only 15 years later, we can look forward to the movie getting released in December or December. But you know what else? We're not entirely sure how Godless will turn out.
The first film War Of Worlds is coming out later this year, so we're pretty sure it'll be getting some pretty light-hearted action. Here's the story: This is the last time we'll see a war of epic proportions. It's about a very small town called Clark, the town's town with a very fragile peace, which has recently suffered a volcanic eruption that wreaked havoc on everything. The big deal is the fact that Clark's friends and enemies are sucked into a vortex, and this threat is now unleashed in order to become the ruler of the town.
At the time of the disaster, there was no idea what this was all about.
To begin with, we were thrown into a conflict of epic proportions. There were no superpowers. This time around, the inhabitants of Clark are in shambles. The lives of thousands are against the orders of a mega-corporation, and they are embroiled in a war that is raged for millennia. But it's not just a single city anymore. You'll play as a younger Clark, a full-time security agent, and you'll get to play as your old buddy Barry Allen, the Daily Planet's greatest detective. The dynamic between characters is portrayed with a level of intrigue that fits the style of a film noir thriller.
Of course, it wouldn't be a game without plenty of sword-fighting, and the environments will be filled with plenty of enemies to deal with. So the people you'll encounter are all new. They're all recognizably out-of-this-world inhabitants, and they don't stand out for their scripted appearances. However, the game will try to make it seem as though you're on an original property that isn't completely based on anything that's already taken place.
Also in the game are a number of new touches that add to the standard gameplay. You'll encounter many of your enemies from the comics and movies. We expect to see an eclectic mix of those, and the game will definitely provide some variety. One example is the Vektan raid boss that we've seen in previous trailers. Unlike the other villains, these enemy soldiers have much more powerful and accurate weapons, and they have lots of unique abilities. The game will also make use of a cooperative mode in which you'll have to use your primary weapon to take down enemies.
We were able to take a look at a couple of different weapons and then play through a handful of levels that took place in different locations. This included some familiar favorites, such as the Scorpion katana and the alien-esque jet. One of our favorites is the machine gun, which shoots things like rockets into the air. As we played through these levels, we were given a quick look at what was to be expected of the level. On the mech side, we noticed some incredibly slick special moves. One, when used in melee combat, gave us a chance to rip through nearby enemies and then follow up with a heavy-duty machine gun attack. Another new ability we saw involved ricocheting energy bolts at enemies. These can also be used to charge your attacks. Finally, one of the game's other unique additions to the gameplay is a new ability called the shuriken. This new ability lets you pull off a couple of wicked-looking moves, such as a spinning death cleaver, that have an obvious effect on your combat experience. The transformation also lets you morph into a variety of different form and form types. You can attach two weapon forms to a belt of buckles and use the butt of your weapon into a gauntlet that is suspended in the air. One new technique we saw that involved pressing two buttons in quick succession to transform into a katana, was a spinning dash attack, which would propel you forward and deal bonus damage. In addition, you can perform a series of flashy katana attacks.
