Euro Club Manager 2003-2004
Euro Club Manager 2003-2004 will ship with the 100-player F1 F1 team, a more robust career mode, and also a new 3D match engine. This year, publisher Codemasters is aiming to cater to fans who prefer their hands-on experience in Formula 1 with the inclusion of an all-new feature called career mode. The career mode spans over a dozen seasons. The new mode will include more than 35,000 teams and over 200 clubs, which will have their own prestige. In addition, each season will let you compete with a real-life team from one of Europe's premier leagues. New in this year's game are the hybrid dynasties and the spin-off titles. For more on this year's F1 management sim, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
New-look versions of F1 will be available for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, PC, and GameCube in November. The first game will be available for all the platforms, although you will be able to download F1 F1 2001 from Xbox Live and PlayStation Network separately. The PS2 version will also be available in Europe and Asia with a summer release window, while the Xbox 360 and PC editions of F1 2001 are due out in November.
Batista, F1 2001's flagship sports car, will be available for all the platforms, though the Xbox version will not feature a number of upgrades. Each version will sport new graphics, audio, and car models, as well as new player models. The game will also feature updated audio and engine sounds for the game's circuits.
F1 2001 features more than 1,000 famous drivers in 15 authentic circuits, as well as several new courses. The Xbox version will also include a number of new race modes, including the ability to challenge yourself in practice races, the ability to import your existing race cars into the game, and a track editor that lets you create any of the 20 tracks that are included in the game. F1 2001 will also feature a number of improvements on the original game's features, such as improved animation, a revamped physics engine, and updated track layouts. Also, the Xbox version of the game will feature the same seven vehicles that were found in the PlayStation 2 game.
The graphics in the game are quite impressive, with realistic physics, cars moving realistically, and a higher level of detail on the track. Additionally, the Xbox version will have improved weather effects and the enhanced suspension model, which features increased bounce and damping. F1 2001 also features a number of new camera angles and improved reflections. Some new camera angles include enhanced close-ups of cars in more detail, and the developers used an in-engine camera rig in the Xbox version to create a close-up view of the action on the track.
The game's audio engine has been tweaked to take advantage of the Xbox hardware. In the new version of the game, the game's drivers are much more accurate and more believable. Their voices are also a little more exaggerated. For example, the AI driver now includes more of a sense of humor than before, and if you play as a driver, he'll be swearing, swearing, and even talking with other drivers.
While the driving and racing portions of the game will be noticeably improved, Papyrus has opted to keep the game's physics-based and simulation gameplay as similar as in its predecessors. The cars are no longer exaggerated with their tires, and the in-game physics engine has been tuned so that they run at a more realistic level than before.
While Papyrus hasn't announced any gameplay enhancements, the game will include a wide variety of drivers, tracks, and vehicles to choose from. Among the cars in the game are street bikes and vans, along with sportscars. The game will feature 15 tracks, including real-world tracks such as Birmingham, London, Amsterdam, New York, and a few others, as well as small versions of the gameworld, such as Seattle, San Francisco, and New York City. The cars in the game will include the same variety of drivers and will include them as well. In addition, the game will feature a number of vehicle and driver-specific modifications to the cars.
In the single-player game, Papyrus has put a good deal of effort into making it easy to pick up. The game will feature a number of racing aids that will help beginners to get into the game and thus get the gist of the game, but also in terms of its focus on accessibility. For example, the auto shop and assistant have been enhanced so that the customer AI won't allow you to run the game if the computer is giving you trouble, and, instead, the assistant will provide a heads-up display of your current situation, so that it doesn't run the game. Additionally, the game will be slightly easier to pick up and play than Papyrus' earlier games.
