Elitserien 2001
Elitserien 2001 is expected to open in the spring of this year, so we have more updates on the game. In the meantime, we've assembled a complete list of updates on the game.
The game's structure is different from most RPGs, as you don't have to think about what you're going to do in order to start from the beginning. You can do whatever you like, though, as long as you want to have the maximum of all the dialog options. You'll be able to access all the skills, however, and experiment with all the skills available. You'll have a small selection of combinations to choose from at any given time. Your weapons, in particular, are geared toward a particular type of gameplay: a tank, a mech, a scout, a bomber, or a tank. The power of your computer-controlled characters will determine your personal fighting strategies, as well as whether you're playing on the default difficulty level.
When playing multiplayer games, we've seen that you'll have several options available to you. For instance, you can try to go up against the AI or play with a friend in a co-op game, which is a more involved experience than the single-player mode. If you choose to play on the default difficulty, you'll be able to select from only the first three levels. As you can see, there's a good selection of missions to choose from and the types of enemies you'll face. When you're on the higher difficulties, you can go up against only one opponent at a time, which can be more than enough for most players.
Also, if you don't want to take your time learning how to play, you can choose to play in first-person or first-person mode. While the guns are great, the camera is really problematic when you're trying to see the enemy through walls or through vehicles. Even if you choose to play in first-person mode, you'll have to watch your character's eyes and will have no idea what's happening to you. As far as difficulty goes, the game's difficult AI is pretty standard, as you'll have to be as smart as possible if you want to beat the game. You'll earn new weapons, but they will become unavailable after you've seen the mission first time. And in true Virtua Cop fashion, you'll need to be quick about picking up new weapons.
The game's controls are pretty basic. You use the face buttons to move your character and the left analog stick to shoot. The shooting system is pretty straightforward, but it's not all that difficult. You can jump, hold down the shoot button to aim, and perform a charge shot to throw your enemies off a ledge. The blocking is pretty easy to pull off; after you've activated it, you can block with the circle button to move around and let go of the triangle button to block incoming punches. You can also block by pressing up or down. You can also call up your items in the menus, such as extra weapons. There are also the occasional power-ups that you'll need to collect to gain access to items, such as remote-controlled bombs. The controls are pretty easy to pick up and use, but once you get the hang of them, you'll be able to play pretty much the entire game in a relatively short amount of time.
The graphics in the game are pretty standard. The bright visuals include some bright effects, which add to the overall look of the game. The story-driven sequences are surprisingly interesting and play well in the game's flow. You'll start out with a simple newspaper prologue and a good deal of film-style dialogue from the game. Once you're done with the short prologue, you'll move onto the other game's story, which you'll be able to play through in the game's options. As far as gameplay goes, the game has you piloting an "Flying Saucer" as you explore your way through the game. The flight combat segments offer you a good amount of control over how you'll fly and when you'll be able to do the odd toe-to-toe thing to get up close and personal with your enemies. Your primary objectives will be to take out your foes, and, of course, you'll be doing that. The game's graphics are looking pretty sharp on the Xbox, which, in a way, has been helped along by the fact that the game's physics engine is so advanced that the water on the ground can make insanely-cool things like your enemies flying around on bumpy, uneven ground. The physics engine is all wrapped up by a slick engine that runs at a solid 30 frames per second and offers a pretty impressive level of detail. While the game is coming together, the graphics in the game are shaping up to be quite the treat.
The audio in the game is shaping up nicely.
