Doom 3

Doom 3, the follow-up to the ever-popular FPS/shooter hybrid of Doom and Doom II, is scheduled for release next week. The multiplayer madness-shooter will be one of the most played games on the Internet this summer.

"This is an exciting new challenge for us to undertake," said Mark McQuaid, president and CEO of id Software. "The hardcore gamers are asking us to make Doom 3 the best game they can possibly imagine."

The Doom 3 multiplayer demo is available now. Those who like playing with friends who are in real time (where their CPU is a lot slower) should check it out on Wednesday.
