Cricket 2005 is the first entry in the 2007 sports-themed game series for the Xbox 360. GameSpot had a chance to sit down with the game's producer, Alex Rigopulos, and associate producer Frank Sheth, to discuss the game's new features.

The executive producer and core team of SCEA's Tiburon studio is in full "undead" mode to support both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of the game, and the game's core gameplay remains unchanged from last year's. Rigopulos is also excited about the game's new overall speed and greater sense of realism. As the developer told us:

Cricket 2005

"Since there are a lot of different game modes, it is important to think of different game types, so we felt it was important to take some of the original content and bring it over as well. We feel the difficulty in our game has changed a bit. There are times where you can find the goal by riding on a hill and you can only really go up one hill. There are times where you'll have to ride the same path, but not always because you have to go down another hill. That was important for us."

It's clear that the team has put a lot of work into the new environments, enemies, and vehicles, and the game will once again take players to far-off parts of Mexico, from Mount Hood to Mount Water. Some of the things that can be seen in the trailer include stunning snowy environments that will allow players to literally climb and jump across large areas, such as off a cliff. One thing that should be immediately obvious is that the vehicles will be quite different from the ones in the previous games, and you'll even be able to drive the vehicles on foot, and they'll also be quite different from what you're used to seeing in the original games. However, from what we've seen of the environments and characters, we can expect that the environments will be quite different from what you've seen in the previous games.

The campaign of Grand Theft Auto IV will see you heading to a variety of different locales, from dark jungles and seedy underbelly to ice caps and waterside docks, and the designers have decided to include everything from gangs to warehouses to airports. You'll be able to drive a huge range of vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, hoverboards, police cars, motorbikes, helicopters, and even bicycles. In addition, you'll be able to visit some of the local businesses you'll visit, such as movie theaters, pizza parlor and comic strip clubs, and engage in gang wars, gang wars, and even gang warfare.

We have some new screenshots to share of the game, showing off a variety of different gang missions, including a bank heist, a car battle, a manhunt, and a bit of highway chase.

As with the previous GTA games, GTA IV will feature plenty of vehicle customization options, including a wide range of camera angles. The cars we've seen so far have been impressive, though the cars we've seen so far aren't quite as detailed. The demo we saw used a first-person perspective, and when we were about to drive through a club in one piece, we were able to move in-between the car windows and fire our gun on a stationary driver. The game will also have a new system that will let you "ghost" (this option is also available for running cops with you) and steal from a particular opponent.

The game is due out for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in September. We'll bring you more on the game as soon as it becomes available.

GameSpot: So what's going on in the town of Blaine County in GTAIV?

Michael Columbo: In GTAIV, Blaine County is home to the city's largest criminal fraternity. The criminal fraternity has high hopes and high expectations of its members, and they are determined to turn those expectations into even greater prison. The building itself was once used as a prominent staging point for an uprising against the ruling class, but there is no place for such aggressive, high-level action.

One of the most significant changes in Grand Theft AutoIV was the introduction of a local crime scene. This scene was not featured in previous games and featured a separate scene from that game. Rather, it featured multiple different scenes. For example, in one sequence, a man travels to a local drug lab and finds himself in the middle of a number of disturbances.

During this sequence, one of the shady members of the game appears to have stolen a boat of cocaine and attempts to flee. In another sequence, the man is seen fleeing from a truck and infiltrating a strip club, only for him to be gunned down by his colleagues.

The single most memorable sequence of GTAIV has been the death of the main character, Michael.
