Call of Duty World at War

Call of Duty World at War was a refreshing twist on the tradition established by its predecessors, taking the already popular formula of World War II shooter games and adding a sprinkling of multiplayer tactical team play into the mix. The new game is being developed by Infinity Ward and the Treyarch studio, and while the name sounds like it could be a new chapter in the Call of Duty series, the game is set to push the franchise's visuals, gameplay, and scope to new heights.

The original Call of Duty became famous for its impressive graphics and stunning visuals. To that end, the new game has been designed to be a whole new level of first-person shooting. Call of Duty World at War features an all-new storyline and new environments and weapons to play with. Also, much like the other games in the series, World at War is set in World War II, and it will put players in the boots of special agents sent in to investigate the murder of the Allied nuclear weapons manufacturer.

According to Activision, the game will ship in late 2004.

Set in the 18th century, the original Call of Duty takes place during the US war. You'll be able to play as the US Army, the British SAS, the British SAS, the SAS, and even the United Kingdom Marines. However, you'll play as either the United States Army or the United Kingdom Marines. In World at War, you'll play as the United Kingdom Marine Corps, and you'll be able to play as the British SAS, the SAS, and the British SAS. In the game, you'll have the option to play as British SAS or the SAS.

The game will have a highly detailed graphics engine that will allow for full-blown gameplay. You'll be able to walk around the battlefield with troops in a formation and the ability to command them with weapons, such as the Colt handgun or the M16 carbine. For instance, when playing as the British SAS, the Army will be able to use the BAR and your Thompson submachine gun to help snipe the German troops, as well as the British sniper rifle. You'll also have the ability to control the terrain of war by ordering a separate army of soldiers to patrol your area and the like.

It's in your travels that you'll have the option to do battle with some of the more brutal elements of World War II, such as infantry chases, in which you'll be rewarded with experience points that you can spend to improve your weapons and equipment. You'll also be able to use binoculars to scout out the area around your enemy, and you'll also be able to survey areas of territory. Of course, the Call of Duty series isn't a shooter, so you'll always have to engage in firefights with your enemies in order to see if you're doing the right thing. But the fact that the game's bullets are truly lifelike--the kind that can accurately shoot you--in addition to being so accurate, is definitely a plus.

In fact, the Xbox version of the game is probably the best-looking yet. This is a rare game where you'll actually see much of the terrain without any cuts or light. However, for the most part, this is no easy feat, and the game's wide-open nature means that you'll be forced to look for vantage points and vehicles. The interior and exterior locations, as well as a few other places you can hide behind, will often be a more realistic experience. The level that we saw was set in a war-torn urban area where we fought off a lone enemy soldier and an AI-controlled VIP. A member of the enemy, for instance, led us to his office where a hooded character and a couple of guards were all around us. This guy apparently picked up the fire, which was then picked up and attached to his back--thus, our enemies were little more than a rag doll of death.

We can only guess what this means for the final game, because it's not known what these three characters will be. While we can't confirm what this means for the final game, we can infer that the cops and enemies will be more intelligent, with different motivations for killing each other. We also can't say whether it's possible for you to shoot any civilians, but we know the man is being hunted and given multiple missions to go through in each area. Again, it's not known yet if you'll be able to shoot off any other members of your party, or if you can choose to focus on killing each other with the sole purpose of killing each other.

You'll get to shoot a bunch of people in each mission as you finish them off.

At the end of each mission, we're told that you'll be able to see the results of a shooting range in the game, which will let you know if the game is not all that fun or is better than the last one.
