Black Mirror developer, TIGSource has released its first game, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, to the public, and it’s about an investigative journalist on the space station, Black Mirror, who are in love with the new book, Bandersnatch. In Bandersnatch, she investigates the uncanny glow of the ocean around her and believes she might be the figure in a new journal, which the player (as their character) has discovered.

The game also features a sequel to Bandersnatch, the TV show that aired last year and acted as a spin-off of a game called Bandersnatch, which was met with high praise for its portrayal of the mystery-infested country. Bandersnatch will also feature a new chapter in the Black Mirror universe, but it’s not clear if Bandersnatch will be the continuation of the original novel or if it will just be a continuation.

Bandersnatch is set to release on August 11 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Understandably, when looking at this list of games that had all failed to garner a following, there's a fair amount of repetition that can be found in this very impressive-looking follow-up. There was a time when Call of Duty was just that popular, but it was the release of the original trilogy that really put the franchise on the map and earned the name Call of Duty. Modern Warfare Remastered was also well-received by fans and critics, and Infinity Ward is clearly going to continue to support this highly-regarded game with new content. The first two titles released by Sledgehammer Games are set to release in November 2019, and with all the rumors pointing to Modern Warfare 3, the franchise seems to be set to really succeed in the fall.

Sledgehammer Games has been doing a lot of work on the Call of Duty franchise lately, with the most recent title being the successful launch of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in 2014. Advanced Warfare was developed by the studio that helmed Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, with Treyarch leading the development of the game. The studio has worked on several Call of Duty games in the past, including Black Ops 2, Black Ops: Cold War, and the most recent entry in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 3.

Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was the first Call of Duty game to feature a Zombies mode, and while the game did receive its own version of the zombies mode, the original campaign wasn't considered to be particularly good. Black Ops 3 was a bit of a disappointment, with fans still struggling to get their hands on it. The game suffered from a poor starting, as it only released a week after Advanced Warfare. While the majority of Call of Duty games are considered classics, Black Ops 4 and Black Ops Cold War left a lasting impression on players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 saw the release of the first Black Ops game in 2008, and Treyarch went all out to improve the game. Black Ops 4 was an improvement over the Black Ops 3, but not enough to topple Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The game did feature the Zombies mode, which was something that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare lacked. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is one of the most beloved games in the series, so it would be awesome to see it return to the series' roots.

The series has had a yearly release cycle for over a decade, but the newest game was met with extremely mixed reception from fans. It was well-received by fans, but the reviews are still not great for the overall quality of the game.
