Battlefront

Battlefront was supposed to be the last game in the Star Wars franchise, but EA decided to skip the franchise and move on to DICE's Battlefield franchise. Today, GameSpot News broke the story.

"While our publisher was very happy to learn that they were developing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, it's clear that they are keen to stay true to the core vision of the franchise," read a statement from the Electronic Arts finance and media relations manager. "Unfortunately, we do not have any further details to share on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which is not planned to be a launch title for either platform."
