Battlefield 1942 The Road to Rome Chinese

Battlefield 1942 The Road to Rome Chinese, a new expansion pack for 2003's Battlefield 1942, was officially revealed today, and it includes three new maps and three new vehicles for you to battle on. The new Chinese map is a seven-minute segment that's set in a rural China in the year 1942.

The new maps include a nighttime version of an Iwo Jima map that features rooftops, bridges, and tight corners that players can leap between on their own to take out enemies. The level is also filled with more soldiers, but it has more cover than the other four levels in the expansion pack. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the game.

Battlefield 1942 The Road to Rome China will also include a new soldier class, a new army vehicle, and a new land and air vehicles for the USA and Japan.

The expansion pack is scheduled for release in February, although a publisher has yet to be announced for the game.
